Almost half the U.S. population is on Eastern Time. So that's what we should always goes by.

You really don't understand how time zones work do you?

Which is why I find it frustrating that prime time football games don't start until 8:15-8:30 here and end at midnight. Is the vast majority of the Eastern time zone actually staying up until midnight? I struggle to stay awake for even the best of games as I wake up around 6 am. I get the logic of the game starting at 5:30 in California and Seattle to give people time to get home there, but Eastern time sucks. I much preferred central when I lived in Alabama.

I would despise having a 11 am local time game at SC though. Noon is already bad enough.

I remember Monday night football at 5pm in Cali. Never got used to it but liked not staying up to late with work the next morning.

Since TN is in the westernmost part of the Eastern time zone, he may be correct. For instance, sunset in NYC today is 6:56 PM. In Knoxville it's 7:35 PM.

Of course sunrise in NY is 6:43 compared to Knoxville at 7:23. The total hours of daylight are about the same across each time zone.

Western time zones are best, wake up and have football at 9 or 10 then all the good games are over before Saturday is over. I know some people like staying up till 2 AM on Sunday and more power to you but I feel like I'm getting too old for that

No. He isn't correct as every time zone has a western-most area where the sun goes down later.

Just up the road from me. Visit Cades Cove. The government took that land from my family.

If you see a Grey and Orange 2 door Wrangler it is likely me.

Also the whole tilted orbit thing wherein the farther north you are in the summer the more sunlight you get anyway.

Somebody send this guy to Seattle next summer and really blow his mind.
