Due to the French influence in Louisiana, they have a unique cuisine style which though Southern, is not traditional Southern, they have blended some in it but I think of it as unique, and I am a big fan of that style.

Traditonal Southern examples would be sweet tea, chicken fried steak with gravy, fried chicken, beans and cornbread, collard greens, etc...

Allman Brothers and dove poppers, with a venison chorizo queso dip for the chips. Home made "Minner Cheese" (google that yankee) for additional dippage with Keebler Club Crackers.
