How is TN dealing with teachers retirement? KY's governor keeps doing all he can to screw up the teachers in KY.

What changes do you see as most detrimental?

I'm not close to retirement but I have reached the point where another career might be the most viable option. The changes that have taken place over the last decade and a half in academia have made it pretty clear that the future lies elsewhere. I hate it (because I really do love teaching) but there's just not much in the way of a future here

My wife is retired and subs now. She loves it, the teaching without all the bureaucracy and red tape.

True, since the scallywag traitor was from Tennessee ... which was half full of scallywags, especially the eastern half around Knoxville, now that I think of it. Nothing much has changed.
