Let’s clear something up because it’s something I really don’t understand.

You say pay the buyout. At that point, the athlete is either getting paid by LSU what Ole Miss owed him, or he is paying back Ole Miss, right?

I’ve seen it said before that we pay him $1.5 million and his buyout, but that doesn’t make sense.

Buyout means LSU is paying the remaining amount left on the contract to ole miss or paying a release clause if its included in the contract (a fee required to release the player from the contract) to ole miss

Oh I guess the Washington QB just decided to be toxic on his way out until they threatened legal action and he backed out. Had nothing to do with that contract he signed

LSU didn’t want to pay his buyout

It’s funny because 60 years ago they wouldn’t have allowed him on the team.

I think too many people on here are making Ole Miss out to be the bad guys. LSU won the portal sweepstakes in the SEC. Let’s see how it all plays out

If you sign a contract people expect you to keep it, thus the entire point of a contract

The difference being that when you break a contract with the military, you go to jail.

Do these players have any accountability to perform at the highest of levels with this type of money?

I am almost hoping they force him to stay and he sabotages their season, especially against LSU haha

[quote]hey can either get on board and perform or they can sit out, not get paid and then their draft status or portal value for next year decreases.

Bet yaw are pumped up for the next football season, looks like OM is killing it with player chemistry and coaching--probably another playoff run right?

Yes, due to the stacks involved. But the same principle is involved, you break a contract you pay the penalty involved. One is just civil and the other criminal.

The only one holding was ole "turnstyle" Carius as DL blew past him like he was standing still.

Did you just compare a military contract to football, lol? I knew bama fans were ignorant but that takes the cake.

Sounds a lot like modern day slavery to me, AB.

Cmon man… I know it’s fun because we’re currently on the right side of it and are punking a rival, but this is terrible for the sport and you know how we’d feel if the shoe were on the other foot.

This is unsustainable madness; we need to get back to understanding the word “commitment”

That's got to be great for team chemistry.

Demond Williams is free to intentionally suck arse, be a locker room cancer and tank his draft stock.

Y’all are really embarrassing your entire fan base.

The amount of lies and delusion is next level with you Ole Miss people.

Y’all are officially the most beta group in America.
