Bc his coaching style wouldn't work.......I'm not saying it would be a complete disaster but no one is gonna contend for the west with him

Scheme wise or his mentality?
Posted on 9/21/11 at 1:40 pm to MagillaGuerilla
For the most part neither
I think given time to get the right type of talent his scheme could do ok, but nothing special. His mentality would not do well at all.
Can u imagine that finesse passing offense (even when he was at Texas Tech) going into Tuscaloosa or BR and succeeding? Saban would ground and pound his defenses to dust.

Kick me off if you must but this is pure ignorant. You really think no one wants a coach with 2 SECC and 6 top 10 teams?
Posted on 9/21/11 at 1:43 pm to Wishnitwas1998
idk how any sec team wins throwing 55x a game. i say the same thing to UGA fans who want leach. maybe it could work at an OM but that offense is predicated, IMHO, on the idea that you cannot get the same athletes so you set up a system where they can flourish. thats all good and such against mediocre competition but as soon as you meet a DL/Secondary worth a shite you're hosed ie them vs OM, OU, and every other big loss
i just don't see his system working outside the big 12. i think leach is a lot like paul johnson

I am hearing The Pirate.
Others that would be a fit...Malzahn, Paul Petrino, Baby Stoops at Florida State, or either of Bama's coordinators.
ML is the perfect fit. He can take less talented high school QBs and turn them into all-stars. He can win with less talent and his eclectic personality will be fully embraced in Oxford.
