The last time our offense played in the rain, Manziel broke Archie Manning's SEC record for total offense and became the only player in NCAA history to throw for 450+ and run for 100+ in a single game.

Im sure the rest of the SEC could do the same thing against a shitty defense. Don't act like you put those numbers up against stellar team.

Archie did it against bama, manziel did it against the worst Arkansas team in history. it makes me sick that it counts the same.

I don't care if he did it against the school of the blind and deaf, the point was he did it IN THE RAIN, so if you are expecting the weather to help you slow us down, you are sadly mistaken. How well our offense is kept in check lies solely on your defensive improvement.

Which has done a damn good job since week 1. You will see a more improved defense compared to your game last week. It's not as easy as you think to go in and dominate each weekend like you tend to think in this conference. Ask any SEC poster on this board.

Fair enough. While I still expect our offense to perform well, this weekend will go a long way to prove just how consistent this A&M team is. You are definitely correct that no SEC road game can be taken for granted. I think we will beat the spread, but what I think doesn't matter; it's up to our players to make it happen on the road in a tough night game atmosphere.

I know it won't match the tu game, but the 6:00 kickoff doesn't hurt. Should be pretty amped...

I don't think so.. A&M wins. Ole Miss was the best team Bama has played this season, so the stiffer competition diluted the wow factor.

Wasn't Bama 6-5 that year, not exactly world beaters. I don't view JFF as the next coming, but the kid is damn good and is likely to own several more records before it is said and done.

Didn't even need to look at the OP to know it was a bammer. Get this through your head, bama isn't as good as you want them to be. Is Ole Miss better than last year but come on man.

Anything can happen but the big problem for Ole MIss is the matchup nightmare. A&M's offense can be stopped but it takes athletes at every position on D that Ole Miss just doesn't have. Blitzing doesn't work because of the speed of the Spread and the A&M OL is stacked. Sitting back in deep coverage doesn't work because Manziel can dink and dunk you to death and run the ball. The way to win is to be able to rush 5 and keep 7/8 in the box with elite DB's that can cover the A&M receivers. That's what UF did. I just don't see Ole Miss capable of that and I think Manziel has come a long way in the last few weeks as well.

The other problem is A&M has a pretty solid D. We are keeping every team we have played well below their season average points output with only 47 points in 4 games. They are fast and strong and are playing far above expectations.

There have been plenty of Aggie teams that sucked over the last few years, this just isn't one of them. I don't think Ole Miss can keep them under 40 and I don't think Ole Miss can score over 20. It is a road game in the SEC but A&M looks like a buzzsaw right not.

You're a dumbass.

With three interceptions, we still scored 14 on Alabama in Tuscaloosa.

We'll score more than 20. This game could become a shootout.

UGA's great SEC defense gave up 40+ to UT last weekend

This may not be the Big 12, but every team does not have LSU and Bama's defense from 2011 either

No way bro, did you see what they did against Arkansas. A&M is legit. Possibly too legit to quit. Arkansas was 11-2 last year and this A&M team destroyed them. A&M will probably put up 35+ against Bama, much less us.

I just pissed my pants a little out of fear.

I think this is going to be a good game. Florida was able to adjust to the A&M offense at half. But just as important they had the athletes on defense to execute their half time adjustments. I think Arkansas is just so down about how things have gone that they didn't have a lot in the tank. I think Ole Miss will have enough athletes on defense to make this a good a game. Not saying TAM loses but Ole Miss D will be prepared and will have enough athletes to make this game very interesting.

This. I so scared.

I'm already conjuring my moral victory statements:

"Our defense is making strides. We only gave up 55 to Johnny "The Arkansas Killer" Manziel."

"They may be the best team wearing Maroon we face this season."

"We only lost by 35, whereas Arky lost by 48."

"TAMU kicked a field goal inside the 5 yd line early in the 4th quarter, in lieu of taking a knee".

Ole Miss wins this one outright.

I'll take Ole Miss -9.5 and bet the farm on it.

I meant bet the trailer.
