Really it comes down to the LT. The rest of our OL should be very solid. We really need to see Rod Taylor and Greg Little to step up at LT.

Then in our safeties really need to play well. If Conner can play like his old self that would be huge. He will make a difference in the run game. If he can be a leader and the young safeties don't make mistakes we will be in good shape.

Cooking running down our throat probably isn't going to beat us. We have had plenty of practice vs that gameplan the last couple of years. FSU better hope they get pressure on Kelly or OM wins convincingly. Mainly because I don't believe their QB can keep up and be mistake free in a shootout.

Head to head in the last two years I thought we were 2-0 against Ole Piss, maybe I'm wrong.
I don't see any Ole Miss fans on this board claiming to be better than Bama.

I am. We are Tier 1. Vandy is Tier 2. Auburn is Tier 3. Everyone else is Tier 4.

I expect Kelly to make a few plays with his feet though.

For some reason, and FSU may be different, it seems defenses haven't really caught on to just how effective he can be scrambling. Could be the difference maker if the LT position has a breakdown.

FSU's offense was average last year outside of Cook. Their WRs are OK, QB is unproven, OL is OK. Ole Miss needs to put 9 in the box and take the run game away. I'm sure Jimbo will have a good game plan ready though. They also lost their automatic FG kicking machine in Aguayo.

FSU is loaded on defense, but lost a couple key players from last year's team. They seem to always struggle with scrambling QBs though, I think Kelly will have a big day.

I'm taking OM in a 31-21 type game.

Is this not the cat that got drafted in like the second round by the Bucs?

Yeah that's him. He single handedly beat us in 2014. So glad he's gone.

FSU shits their pants every time they play an uptempo spread team. It's completely foreign to them.

They've shite their pants and lost all three games against us.

They shite their pants against Okie Lite in Tallahassee and had to count on Okie Lite derping up a fumble in the last minute to hang on to win that game.

They shite their pants against Auburn that same year in the title game and had to rely on 2nd half heroics from Winston and dumb luck to win the natty that year.

They shite their pants against Houston last year and got blown out in the peach bowl.

Ole Miss has to hit them hard early and keep their foot on the gas with the tempo and they'll fall apart, as long as Ole Miss doesn't derp the game away.

So barely winning a natty is shitteing their pants?

FSU's defense matches up pretty well with Ole Miss. Kelly's gonna have to run to unlock it.

Francois is a huge wild card because - if they're smart, they'll come out throwing knowing Ole Miss may sell out to stop Cook. Ole Miss can't be overly agressive bc Francois can run out of pressure.

They were dominated in that game. They won it with 4th quarter heroics and dumb luck.

They won... A natty! Shitteing the bed is letting Houston run thru them last year or om losing to Memphis, not barely winning a natty

A lot of story lines and one of the most interesting games in week one. Is the Ole Miss program distracted at all with a horrible off season? Is Ole Miss going to be able to replace the nfl talent it lost? FSU's defense will be on point. Will FSU's offense be improved? What kind of impact will FSU's great recruiting year have in game one. How many of those true freshman will play? Just getting excited thinking about this match up. I pick FSU in a close one.

I hear you Gnash. lol, I hope I am wrong.(wouldn't be the first or last time) I think if Ole Miss pulls this one out, it will have a major positive impact on the National perception of the strength of the SEC west. We know it is the best division, but some refuse to believe it. Other my team's game. This one excites me the most in week one.

I just can't forget the horror that Florida's D brought off the edges last year against OM.
Swag was very lucky to get out of that game without serious injury, imo

Fournette could not run on OM, so I am not sure how Cook will run on them either.

The whole game will rest on the arm of the FSU QB. If this first time starter can keep the OM defense honest, then FSU will be able to stay in the game. If he cannot, then OM will blow them out.

I think OM wins 35-10 because I don't think FSU will be able to move the ball and because Swag Kelly may be the best QB in the country throwing to the best WR Corp in the country.

FSU has more overall talent but I'm picking Ole Miss to win. Rebels will need to win the turnover battle like they did against Alabama last season.

On defense make FSU's freshman qb beat them. Thus, they'll need to contain Cook.

Like other's have noted, Ole Miss' spread may negate FSU's speed.

Having said that, if the OL can't stop FSU's pass rushers, the game will get ugly fast.
