Kinda surprised they don’t release it at the end of the day on a Friday, rather than the beginning.

if....and I mean IF....the NCAA is trying to make an example out of us, the time to release sanctions if they were bad is earlier in the week instead of the day before conference championship games.

That's certainly one way to look at it.

Another way is that they can still make an example of Ole Miss (and be justified in doing so) and get the message across to their intended audience (ADs, Coaches, Boosters) while NOT having "college football is a seedy business" conversations dominate the headlines for more than a day as the championship games could change the talking points around the sport literally overnight.

Good, AJ Brown and Benito Jones will be in Tuscaloosa for spring ball.

Wonder if we can them in the playoffs?

Kind of surprising. I kind of expected SEC to push NCAA to wait until next week so it wouldn't be a focus the day before the conference championship. You'd think the conference would want the championship and playoff announcement to go off without any mention of Ole Miss' mess at all.

It’s less of a story on Friday. By Monday everyone in the media will be talking about the games and playoff spots.

If they're trying to make an example out of someone....then they absolutely want that conversation out there. It shows that they will most definitely punish those who cheat.

or not.

I presented a possibility. An Aggie shite himself over it. Just another day on the Rant.

Like, I want to laugh at them. But then I see stuff like that and I just feel bad for the ones who actually have a ray of hope

Yeah. See my post on 2 possible reasons for a Friday post 3 up from your post. Similar thought process.

Your reading comprehension is pretty laughable.

They wouldn't have shut down their search so quickly if they weren't going to be blasted

I think UNC came out around 11 am central as well... I think they usually do a noon eastern release for most of their stuff.

Give me a couple of hours. I'll call IMissPlatinumPlus and get his info from the Cheetah in Atl.

We'll know everything in the sanctions before Bjork does

You can thank Mullen leaving for greener pastures for us pulling the trigger on Luke. That gave us a pretty solid window in recruiting this week during the very beginning of visiting period.

I don't think Ole Miss will get them until tomorrow around 8:30 and will be released 30 mins later.

I thought they gave them to the school 24 hours prior to releasing them to the public.

You surprise me. I would have thought that MSU fans would have immediately jumped at the idea that Ole Miss did something reactionary based on MSU.

Don't get me wrong....it was likely that Luke would have been hired anyway. But it was of no coincidence that we announced Luke as the head coach on the first day of the recruiting window to visit recruits. This was our best chance at trying to salvage our shittastic recruiting class.

We immediately received two commits the next day.
