UPDATE from Coach Kiffin: "Before he was taken away, DaMarcus did have some movement and has some feeling in his body. Great news, but I don't know what that means exactly. (But it's) great news compared to 20 minutes ago."

PLEASE CONTINUE TO PRAY FOR DAMARCUS THOMAS!

encouraging but damn I can't imagine how scary that situation must be. Hate hearing about stuff like this happening. Really puts things in perspective.

You know if the first thing Kiff did was call his ex-wife and tell her he doesn't give a shite if his kid ever plays football again, it had to be a pretty awful scene.

Hopefully all of the news continues to trend upwards.

I remember a kid being taken from the field in an ambulance during a game when I was in high school. Made me sick to my stomach seeing that. Fortunately, it turned out to be a really bad concussion and the kid was ultimately ok. I can't imagine how Kiffin is feeling right now.

Lane Kiffin just updated us, telling us Thomas did have some movement and some feelings in his body before he was taken away. "That's obviously great news."

Thank God. Hopefully the news gets even better.

The Zac Etheridge injury, which happened when Auburn was playing Ole Miss, was terrible to watch. To this day, Etheridge credits Rodney Scott with his recovery. Scott did everything right in the aftermath of that play.

I'm praying this injury results in the same recovery!

Prayers for the young man! As a former HS coach, your heart stops every time a player is slow to get up or simply doesn't. I have experienced some of Kiffin's emotions on 3 separate occasions and it is a sickening feeling each time. Thankfully, each one had a positive outcome and I pray the same for this young man.

Still one of the more incredible things I've ever seen. It would have been so easy for Rodney to have tried to jump up and push him off before realizing what was going on.
