That's the point your OP is trying to make.

Ignoring your fallacious argument, that's exactly what we did to A&M.

We're at the top of the SEC and have a shot to make the playoffs one year after paying an abhorrent amount of money to get rid of our "winning" coach.

But to compare their situation to Jimbo Fisher, say they have no forward process and state that their only option is to move on from the most successful coach in school history is stupid

Out of their 2-deep, OM loses 28 guys this year who are out of eligibility, and they have NO true freshmen coming up in the two deep, a stat shared only with Mizzou. Only the rebuild jobs at AU and USCe come close, losing 20 and 18 at the end of this season, but both of those teams are top 3 in the SEC for 2 year and under players in their 2 deeps, in contrast to OM, who is dead last.

This year was ride or die for OM. Unless they win out from here, they die. Next year will be a major rebuild, portal or not. This is worse than Fisher in terms of roster management.

Lol Jimbo was never a "winning" coach. That's the difference.

Lane Kiffin has two 10-win seasons in the last 3 years (and Ole Miss had never had a 10-win regular season before that). Jimbo never won 10 games in 6 years.

Comparing the two makes no sense.

And maybe let's let Elko finish a full season and not look like garbage at home against a team worse than Northern Illinois before we proclaim him "the answer." That's exactly what you goobs did with Jimbo and now you're paying him and his former staff $100 million to not work

Walter Nolen has been great for us. Our problems are entirely the offensive line, play calling and the secondary

That is the danger of a bunch of Mecenaries for hire. They lose, they check out and go look at their bank accounts. You will see it with OSU this week. You’ve seen it with Bama already. Ole Miss has nothing left to play for …

Kiffin doesn't have them at their ceiling all the time. They played LSU tough and who knows how schools will shake out when it settles, now that everything is about paying players and them hopping around. But Kiffin does seem more focused on social media and everything but OM alot of times. He will never fully succeed anywhere as a HC. He doesn't have the mentality. I like OM and if they have the money they should hope he leaves or jump on a top coach when they can and pay alot for him.

The real problem is Nick Saban. His success and dynasty that he built at Alabama makes people believe they can have it.

Reality is that if you are playing for a championship every 10 years your program is elite.

Winning 10 games for 4 years in a row is extremely hard to do. That still averages 3 loses. Now that the big 12 bigs are in the sec it’s even tougher as the sec championship game is the same as a previous playoff round.

Ole Miss is on the right track and will catch lightning at least once.

Bama hired a great coach who seems to be missing pieces or is having a disconnect at Bama. He may right the ship or he might sink.

LSU had coach O who assembled the greatest team in LSU history then fell apart.

Nothing is guaranteed

And que the nonsensical self-righteous crap from a tx fan. ND may not be that good but they're better than anyone yall have played thus far.

Well I’d hope so. Nobody Texas has played has posed any challenge.

Meanwhile, Notre dame embarrassed a&m so thoroughly that the aggie fanbase united in calling Weigman a drug addict in response

OM has finished right around top 10 2 out of the last 3 years.

For Ole Miss that is about as good as you can hope for.

They'll never be a perennial Championship caliber team. They never HAVE been a Championship caliber team.

Know your place. Getting rid of Kiffin would be laughably dumb for OM.

I agree that it isn’t Kiffin. But coaching was a huge problem last night

Texas A&M has a ceiling. It’s not the coach either.

Kiffin is the best they can do, there are a handful of teams that can win a ship and Ole Miss isn't one.

Fire coach end up winless.
