Can't really be mad anymore. It's been 6 years.

Auburn got turned down by our current head coach, so they hired our fired former coach and think that it somehow a win for auburn

Yeah, what's lost in all this is Freeze was fired, for cause, from Ole Miss, after having a losing season and in the midst of an NCAA investigation. It's not like he left on his own accord.

I’m not personally mad at Freeze and him being back in the league doesn’t bother me

However I would have absolutely lost it if Kiffin left and we rehired him. I can ignore him elsewhere but I could not handle him being back at OM

It’s pretty obvious, a bunch of your fans are butthurt, not all , but the man spent 5 years in Football hell went on an apology tour with his wife speaking about his shortcoming and how their marriage survived. He is getting a second chance that I feel like most reasonable people can understand. You have to admit us taking Lane wouldn’t have been this bad, you would have just chalked it up to Lane doing what you expected him to do.

Coaches don't give a shite about Oxford any more than any other college town. That's just OM fan delusion and arrogance.

That's not true at all. If Lane would've gone to Auburn, there would have been an incredible meltdown from our fanbase, because he is our coach. It's not the same with Freeze, as he isn't our coach and hasn't been since 2017, since we fired him for cause.

Trying to troll Ole Miss with the ol’ transitive win strategy. Very bold. Especially after this season.

They all say that. Mullen said he loved Starkville and moved his parents there from Pennsylvania.

Lane was about to leave Oxford for Auburn and likely would have left last year for Miami. Coaches and players leave there all the time. Y'all literally tout a bookstore as an attraction.

It's a fine small college town, but it's not any more special than anywhere else. For coaches, anyway. I understand OM alums liking it. I like it ok.

I wouldn`t be to excited about paying a coach 9+mill a yr
for an 8-4 record.I hope more importantly the negociated
more money for OCs and DCs and nil monies. If not get used
to 7-9 wins a year.

The melt is really that we have the coach that you wanted and you completely embarrassed yourselves by slobbering over him like a bunch of little teenage girls for about 3 months.

How ironic - Word on the street is that folks are going to start hearing about Lane and a teenage girl much more in the near future

Ole miss fans are the only ones that know what you’re really getting so you may want to pay attention to them. We lived it already

Really makes for the perfect in-state rivalry. We boast about our literary history and you cow-tip. It's the epitome of yin and yang.

Heh, I never really knew if cow tipping is real. I always wanted to try it. Probably like snipe hunting.
