I can't help but wonder how Kenyan Drake is feeling. That makes me sad.
I certainly never want to lose, but the better team won. I am much more disappointed for Drake, he was really coming into his own.

That's the only thing I'm sad about. The game doesn't matter; there will be others.
I just hope Drake can come back and participate in them.

Football is a game of inches. When it comes down to a close game, Bama made the mistakes and Ole Miss didn't. Good for the Rebels.
Motivation and desire make the difference in close games.

You say our O Line was terrorized by Alabama?
How many times was Bo sacked? How many TFL on running plays?

Great thread. I know one thing . . . it is the best Ole Miss team I've seen and maybe the worst Bama team since Saban's second year. I'd say they are about even right now though.
Bama had dropped balls, turnovers, a lot of penalties. Bama out gained Ole Miss in yardage, but just couldn't punch it in (or kick a FG) to put the game out of reach. But Ole Miss had a lot to do with it - make no mistake.
Bama has more great athletes just not doing a lot with their talent. Derrick Henry had only 2.2 yards per carry. OJ Howard had two critical holding calls and a couple of dropped passes. Landon Collins was out of position for most of the day (heck, the season). The LBers look to be slow and out of place on passing plays too. Bama also lost its most explosive/dangerous player for the year. Lost two starters on the day too - with one, Kelly, the Center, causing us at least two timeouts and 2-3 penalties due to the backup (a freshman) having issues.
I think most of us thought Bama would lose 2-3 games this year. I think we'll be a 10-11 win team and win a nice bowl game. I think we all got a bit pumped after watching Sims look a whole lot better than we thought he'd look and Coker looking average. But the problem is not at quarterback - it is with the players we thought we could count on.

Going into the game, I really didn't care who won, just wanted to watch a good, competitive game. As the game went on, I began to see what alot bitch about with Bama getting the calls or no calls. Atleast in this game, it seemed the deck was stacked against Ole Miss when it came to the refs. Especially the face mask and the last interception.
How the frick can a ref blow that interception call when he was in perfect position to make the call? Replay corrected the injustice. Everyone has different views on penalties and what calls were right etc...I have no prob with Bama, I actually like them and their rich history, but as an unbiased outsider, Ole Miss deserved this game.

I'll add one thing - with all the penalties, injuries, turnovers, dropped balls, and players out of position, they still could have won the game at the end.
I wasn't even upset after the game. I'm more upset with the crazy Bama fans here who actually ignored all the signs - the turnovers defensive issues, and penalties that plagued the team up to this point. Like all of that was going to magically go away when we played a good team, and Ole Miss was better yesterday.

Classy post. Congrats on the game
That being said, y'all are without a doubt the better team. The better team finds ways to win. The better team plays disciplined. The better team exploits the match-ups that they have. The better team makes adjustments. The better team plays up to their potential and ranking. Ole Miss did all of those. Alabama did none.

Bama has an issue in their secondary. Its the same problem that hurt them last year. Saban is having a ton of trouble adapting ot spread offenses that play with pace. You could see yesterday that the DBs are clearly confused about who to pick up when there are 4-5 WRs and the least bit of route trickery.

It looked like a really hard call to make. Thats why we have replay though.

I hate this argument. EVERYONE has a hard time adapting to spread offenses. Look at the Big 12 - none of them have defenses worth a shite. You would think, with as much as they practice against it and see it, they could adapt. It is not just Saban. Geez.

We better figure out that "bunch formation" we got scorched on several times yesterday. We'll be seeing a lot of it coming up.

As of right now, the Scoreboard declared Ole Miss the better team.

Dude. OM held us to 10 points. OM is better than Bama right now. Enjoy.

Scoreboard says otherwise and last time I looked that's the only opinion that matters
