With games against Wazzu and the Citadel still to go, ole miss is all but guaranteed to get to 6 wins this season.

Why does that matter? Because here is the total number of times in the last 20 years, since their savior Nick Saban abandoned them, that LSU has won a game in Oxford against a team with 6+ wins:………….0!!! Total record 0-5

A quick history recap:

2009: LSU’s grass munching moron of a coach bungles the end of game clock management worse than Mario Cristobal, and the #8 Tigers lose 25-23 to unranked Ole Miss

2013: Despite having 2 NFL receivers, future enterprise car rental GM Zach Mettengerber throws 3 ints to a defense so injured that John Youngblood played almost every snap. Andrew Ritter walks it off with a FG 27-24 against another top 10 LSU team

2015: No last second heroics needed against 15th ranked LSU. $wag Kelly jumps out to a 24-0 lead before halftime and throws a late TD to secure a 38-17 Fetty Wap.

2021: The first game in this list where LSU was unranked having just fired their National Championship winning head coach. Final score 31-17, but that is misleading due to an Ole Miss fumble through the end zone that would have put them up 38-10 with 5 minutes left.

2023: The piece de resistance. LSU’s second heisman trophy winner since Billy Cannon can’t do the only thing Billy is famous for other than kiting checks - beat Ole Miss. #13 LSU gives up 317 - yes 317! - rushing yards and Jayden Daniels sails a desperation pass through the end zone as time expires

In conclusion, 3 different LSU head coaches are 0-5 in Oxford against competent Ole Miss teams despite coming in with a higher ranking in 4 out of 5 games. And I see no reason for Saturday to play out any different.

TL;DR: Fear the Lane Train. You’re on island time now!

The ball hit Chris Hilton in the hands but he could not hold on.

Crazy that you have to go back 16 years to find 5 wins to crow about.

I see you skipped over quite a few games to get to 0-5

Read the first sentence. LSU fans love to brag about beating up on 4-8 teams but ignore their 0-5 streak against teams with a winning record - even though LSU had the higher ranking in 4 of those games.

It’s not called cherry picking, it’s called cleaning the dataset. Tomorrow is a game in Oxford where both teams have winning records. Why would I care about games against teams with losing records or in Death Valley to predict the outcome?

Cherry picking is what Charles Sawyer and Chief Brown did to the wounded ducks Mettenberger kept throwing up in 2013.

The only defenses to hold a Kiffin offense below 17 points are 2023 Alabama and 2021 Baylor (the bowl game where Matt Corral got injured in the first quarter). Who is cherry picking now??

You are cherry picking. Ole Miss is not a very good program. You are openly acknowledging that there have been numerous instances in recent memory where Ole Miss has been sub .500.

You do realize that's a picture of Billy heading in to do pro bono dentistry work at Angola after he'd served his time, right?

Yeah, too bad you don’t get to play against any of those bad teams tomorrow. You’re stuck with Lane and Trinidad

So you're saying in every odd year from 2005 to present, Ole Miss has only won 6 games or more in 5 of those 10 seasons??? That's not the flex you think it is.

Sounds like a garbage program.......because it is.

Good. We have a winning record against him and he completely choked away the game last year.

Stop trying to dunk on Matt Luke, Ed Orgeron, and late stage Houston Nutt. They aren’t walking out of the tunnel tomorrow
