You are not the program that’s going to pull Urban Myer out of broadcasting back into CFB.
No, State and Ole miss are the types that take chances on Coordinators or previously smaller program head coaches. Even LSU couldn't pull Tom Herman or Jimbo Fisher.

Hugh freeze took a 2 win program to 7 wins in his first year didnt he? But if those hires work out for a few years, It's all good. If they don't, you move on.

Yeah except we were incrementally getting worse and next year we start with Baylor, Auburn, Bama and LSU. We were staring at four losses in September. Also his recruiting is meh and this is the worst attendance I’ve witnessed since we had high school bleachers in both end zones. Getting Napier or someone like him is better for the health of the program overall than waiting and doing this whole song and dance next fall

Gotta give credit where it’s due for informative responses. Point of this thread was actually to get some Ole Miss fan perspective, but this is the rant so you know I had to be abrasive about it ;)

Orgeron critics said the same thing. Orgeron defenders hung their hat on the fact that the guy was sincerely loyal/passionate about the program, he could recruit, and guys played hard for him.
O also kept the usc program afloat after Kiffin and proved that he learned from his mistakes and could run a program. Not the same scenario as Luke.
