I’m really looking forward to LSU fans discovering how obvious it is when Lane is calling plays and when CWJ is calling plays. It’s that obvious and they will be calling for his head next offseason

I was hoping y'all would make Weis Jr an offer he couldn't refuse.

Either Weis Jr got better this year or Lane got more involved in playcalling on the field...I dunno. We still had too many struggles in short yardage situations with weird jet sweeps in short yardage situations or throwing the ball twice instead of running it with Lacy.

Y'all were boo hooing for him to stay and now are happy he's gone? Pick a side

That one’s really 50/50 in the fanbase. HJJ has disliked Weiss for years. I’m a fan.

To be fair, I feel like most fanbases don't like their OC most of the time.

I’m glad to see this. Maybe the OM sites I see on social media will finally accept that Weis has truly signed a contract with LSU and isn’t staying in Miss after the playoffs.

We never heard of any program trying to poach CWJ for an OC or HC position and that’s before Lane convinced us to make him the 2nd or 3rd highest paid OC in the country.

Thank frick we aren’t stuck with CWJ after the playoffs

Then why do you need him during the playoffs?

Yall are truly warped in the head. It’s quite a sight to see.

You don’t understand why we’d prefer to have our 2025 offensive playcaller for the 2025 playoff?

Go look up how many points the lane train put up against P4 teams at FAU.

Navy 19 (not even p5) - Kiffin's first game at FAU, taking over a 3-9 team (Navy would later give up only 24 against top 10 Notre Dame)

Wisconsin 14 - Kiffin's second game at FAU, on the road at a top 10 team which ended up 13-1 with likely the best defense in the country

OU 14 - On the road against a top 10 team in the season opener

Ohio State 21 (year 3) - On the road against top 5 team which finished 13-1

)

Hardly the same level of competition faced by ECU.

Our employee chose to continue. Why wouldn't we let him? It's like a lot of you have never played an team sport before.

I think if you polled most Ole Miss fans before Kiffin went to LSU, they'd say they hope Weiss gets a HC job somewhere and moves on. As someone else previously mentioned, it was so obvious when he was the one calling the plays and when Kiffin was making adjustments. The play calling last year was atrocious. He's been much better this year but he still called a terrible game against Kentucky that almost cost us.

Once Kiffin left I think Ole Miss fans wanted Weiss just to piss Kiffin off. I'm glad he's back to call plays for the playoff, but I'm also fine with him not staying after that.
