If they can’t beat LSU with a 6th yr senior and a heisman hopeful rb at home I’d be surprised. They are fortunate with the schedule giving them two straight home games.
LSU who is still gelling and figuring out their identity with so many new players will only get better under Lane but I fear this is a must win for Ole Mess

I think this is a really good matchup for LSU.

If the Tigers can weather the initial emotional storm (and don’t turn it over 4 times) they walk out with a fairly convincing win.

Both teams are going to want this win each for their own reasons.

If Leavitt throws 3 picks again, LSU is getting boat raced

Do you have any other in-depth, enlightening, eye opening views about the game?

Breaking News: theballsguy notifies everyone that each team will want to win the game, unlike any other game ever played during the long history of mankind.

Lower scoring affair favors LSU.
A shootout favors OM.

OM was terrible against the run last year. They are even worse thus far this year. LSU will break 250 on the ground on Saturday.

I’d be curious to know what you think the margin will be. Is this 10 points or 3 touchdowns or even more than that?

10-14 points with the game never really in doubt

All I know that Ole Miss should get a win over LSU this season.

True game management. I do think Lane might be enticed to pour it on once he verifies the key areas and personnel matchups that he can exploit.

The only real ways I can see Ole Miss winning is 1) getting on top early- maybe a couple big turnovers or a pick six early. I think there’s the potential for emotions to backfire but I’ll only give that a 10% probability, 2) all-world performances by Chambliss and Lacy and a shootout win (5% probability).

If I had a dream scenario, it would be the very start of the 2003 game where Matt Mauck throws a pick 6 on LSU’s first play from scrimmage. We ultimately lost that game because you had the great coaching of Saban that leveled the team.
