Remind me about yalls opinion on 2025 LSU defense in mid September? Oh yeah. ELITE.

That defense created a lot of problems for Ole Miss last year, until your offensive minds did a lot of adjustments. It's been upgraded at a few spots this year, with guys from your team (Princewell U. has 5 sacks so far, which is already 3 more than Pyburn got all season; and now we have a 2nd linebacker in Dottery to go alongside Whit Weeks, who got hurt in that game).
That defense last year also had to carry a mind-numbingly bad offense. LSU's scheme under Sloan was horrible at running the ball, instead relying on a QB who was injured and couldn't throw the ball downfield, and wouldn't scramble or run. Garrett Nussmeier ran the ball 29 times last year, for minus 57 yds. He had a career rushing total of minus 153 yds.

LSU this season on offense is different. Leavitt's been sloppy with the ball at times, but he can at least do things. He physically can throw the ball downfield without screaming in pain. He's already ran the ball for 135 yds and 5 TDs. Hell, LSU has rushed for 8 TDs already, they only ran for 10 last year.

"oh, LSU has only played a bad Clemson and a mid-major La Tech this year"...
Yeah, we opened with those two teams last year too.
2025- beat Clemson 17-14, beat La Tech 23-7.
2026- beat Clemson 51-10, beat La Tech 45-14.
Time of possession is about the same from last year, but LSU's putting up a lot more yards and points.

Last year's Ole Miss game ended 24-19, it wasn't some blistering blowout.

Y'all may well win, and more power to you if you do. But don't act like it's a mere formality.

It was a pretty good defense. Ended up #12 in the FEI defensive rankings.

Maybe that's not elite but it's definitely very good.

Big time upset if little Ole Miss wins. Good luck to you guys

But, but, but Pete is the better coach.

Lane has zero playoff appearances!

Point is, there’s no way an OM win is considered an upset

LSU who is still gelling and figuring out their identity

i don't mean to brag but I have deep connections up in red stick... and from what everyone tells me... LSU does have an identity:
