of why its so hard for SEC teams to play for a national title. The conf. is so deep that teams like ole miss beat teams like florida and pretty much kill the chance of them playin in the national title game. why is it so hard for the media to see that? instead of praising the SEC and sayin "damn ole miss beat florida. the sec is stacked" they will say "wow, florida got beat by ole miss. maybe they just arent that good" but when usc loses to oregon state all we hear about is how deep the slack10 is b/c the beavers beat usc.

No excuse to lose to Ole Miss at home. Not much of a rivalry between them. Although Ole Miss has played well at the swamp. Interesting. Berry Berry interesting.

In all honesty, it's exactly the opposite.

Yeah, and Ole Miss' "near win" over Wake isn't looking too good right now.

I have to agree with that. Ole Miss beating Florida doesn't look good for the SEC. But anything can and will happen in our Conference.

Agree... But USC could probably pull out that same logic since they consider the Pac-10 to be strong.

All the talk about it's so hard going through the SEC, which I agree it is, but the team that makes it through has a good chance at playing for the MNC, sans AU in 2005. In the 10 years of BCS title games the SEC has won 4.

2007 Louisiana State
2006 Florida
2005 Texas
2004 Southern California
2003 Louisiana State
2002 Ohio State
2001 Miami (Fla.)
2000 Oklahoma
1999 Florida State
1998 Tennessee

well the media would be using the EXACT same logic you are using to describe the SEC's strength

i mean i obviously think that the SEC is better top to bottom than the pac10 but you cant have it both ways, the usc loss is definitely comparable to the UF loss in fact it may not be as bad, at least USC was on the road

i agree, with one exception.. everyone knew Florida was good but not great... no one thought they were going undefeated..

half of the country thought USC may be the best team ever.. and everyone said it was a race to play them in the title game..
