Love me some baseball stadiums. I am not sure this puts Ole Miss into the MSU or Arkansas level, but its gets them close especially since they just made big improvements in 2018.

For comparison here is a recent pic.

Ole Miss has announced a new campaign for campus wide renovations, including a $40 million investment into Swayze Field.
Renovations include a new indoor facility in RF, improved OF seating with concessions/restrooms, & a new home plate plaza entrance.

I’d bet this is a response to Mississippi State’s baseball stadium.
Not that there’s anything wrong with that.
I’m wondering if it wouldn’t make more sense—from a financial standpoint—to augment the impending Vaught-Hemingway Stadium improvements and/or spruce up The Pavilion?
Just a question; I’m not very familiar with their facilities.
Of course, if you have the resources to address all three ...

They're trying to do them all.
I don't like the giant warehouse looking building in RF, but thew rest looks nice. I also wonder if this new OF will capture the current vibe of the student section. I still want beer showers.

Vaught Hemingway will be getting an upgrade as well, I believe starting next season and it's expected to cause some headaches for seating for at least one season.
It's definitely a response to Dudy Noble, and even then, I think there would need to be more done to truly compete. Favorite things about this expansion is moving the stands up to the fence, which I've argued needed to be done for years, and putting some concessions behind left field. All I hope is that adding those concessions doesn't mess with my ability to carry a cooler into left field. Otherwise, I'm fairly happy with the renderings and hope we do a good job realizing them.

Good for them!
Like I said, I’m no expert on Ole Miss’s facilities.
But much respect to them for their plans.

It's gonna be a beautiful place for us to be eliminated in the regionals. Future is looking bright!

Thought so, hence my, “augment the impending Vaught-Hemingway Stadium improvements” comment.
Enjoy em!

Tennessee Tech is thankful for the increased investment in their postseason home.

That stupid right fielder they threw in game 3 overrustled my jimmies to a maximum level.
If I was any good at fighting, I'd kick that guy's arse.
What kind of an a-hole isn't even a pitcher and shuts down one of the nation's best offenses with 82 mph heat and a 78 mph curveball? It was downright sadistic.

Yeah, I don't like that either. The rest of it looks good.

Better baseball facilities for Ole Miss is a win for every SEC college program.
The college baseball game has increased in popularity and this will only continue as facilities improve.

Looks nice! Should put them above Alex box and right below Baum and Dudy Noble

Swayze is already better than Arkansas' stadium.
Nobody's is as good as MSU's.

Hahahahahaha nobody thinks whatever OMs baseball stadium is called is nicer than Baum.
It’s not even close and this new renovation is nice for OM (minus the HS looking building in the outfield) but it doesn’t catch Arkansas. Baum has box seating from outfield to outfield with new ones in right field.
OM baseball stadium is weird with the seating in the infield. Looks very 1970ish

Can't spell Baum without bum....and that's what you feel like whenever you walk into that 3rd rate shithole of a stadium.
"sorry we're too poor to afford anymore seats please to sit on the grass."

I’m not following that at all kid.
We have 10,737 seats not counting the new outfield. Only seats and boxes that go from outfield to outfield. OM has like 4-5 boxes. OM stadium has no more than 7k seats.
I don’t think you ever want to get into a pissing match with Arkansas about money and facilities. You know that though.
Sorry you are poor

Baum is awesome but it’ll always have issues with terrible sight lines down the lines.
