Yeah I imagine they’re talking with people at UT and Texas Tech along with law enforcement to see exactly how credible it was that he actually did the things he was accused of initially. If it comes back that she had marks around her throat that were consistent with his hands then I would imagine it’s a no go.

All they have to do is read the police report to see the reason UT fired him. It goes into detail about her injuries.

The police report was damning. Beard beat that woman. The fact that she refused to follow through on the charges doesn’t change that. I very seldom give Texas credit for anything. But, the university quickly and without hesitation confronted the problem and kicked his arse out for DV, even though his basketball team was highly ranked. Texas did what was right, rather than sweep it under the rug for a sports team. Compare that to Alabama’s handling of someone involved in a murder.
