Not really, Beard would have inherited the same mess. Unless he'd be able to strangle a bunch of 5 stars our way last year.

NCAA coaches with highly questionable character:
Will Wade
Nate Oats
Chris Beard
and the bible quoting Texas Tech guy...

That's subjective, or let me put in layman terms where you'd understand...never mind I'd be wasting my time.

Beard took Texas Tech to the national championship game... If hiring a coach that can do that is "sloppy seconds" I'll gladly eat that shite up.

Long story short this is really high risk for Ole Miss. They'd be better off looking for an up and comer that might get hot.

Risk, what risk? What's the worse that could happen? He get in a scandal in a couple of years and we're right back where we started.

If we were where we were when we fired Kennedy, having multiple 20 win seasons over the decade, then yeah this would be a risk. We're 3-15, it can't get worse. It can get a lot better with this hire. But it can't be any worse than our program has been in perpetuity.

Are you seriously comparing vetting a coach who had charges dropped against him to a convicted child rapist?

Shut the frick up you moron

My jimmies will be extremely rustled in a couple years if Beard at Ole Miss is beating Texas.

Beard won't be at Ole Miss long. I bet he'll ultimately end up at Arky in 2 years when Musselman heads back west to USC or UCLA. Or Beard will only coach one year and end up at Louisville next year. Beard has a big ego and Ole Miss is the worst job in the SEC.

Are you too stupid to know how often women who were actually abused end up dropping charges?

I've volunteered at a local battered women's shelter. So yes, I'm aware that abusers are some of the lowest scum on earth.

Is Beard in that category? Idk. But, at the very least, he is in a highly toxic relationship that involves alcohol fueled physical altercations.

But hey, make the NCAAT a couple of times and then send him packing after he gives you a PR black eye. You're on record many, many times as believing in winning at all/any cost. I just place a much higher value on real life stuff than I do college athletics. That wasn't the case when I was younger and dumber, I have to admit. I'm just thankful I moved past that.

Dirtbag fans at dirtbag school deserve a dirtbag coach.

Didn’t watch much this year because Kermit put a depressing product on the court.

Won’t watch at all if Beard gets hired. Lane is probably a dirtbag too, but credible DV allegations are a bridge too far.

That'd be a fricking stupid hire, not because of Beard's anger issues, but because he'd leave Ole Miss after one year to take just about any other power 6 job in the country. It's laughable to think a top 3 coach in all of college basketball is going to stay at one of the worst jobs in the country.

Good. Ole Miss doesn’t need fans like you who don’t want to hire coaches that are guaranteed to win just because they aren’t a “good guy”
