It's pointless to compare NBA basketball with college basketball. That's like comparing Marissa Miller to Rosie O Donnell

Orgeron won 3 SEC games in 3 years.. AK had our basketball team at 6-0 in conference play for the first time in our history... AK just can't coach defense worth a shite... That's not a very good comparison.

AK brings in talent but can't coach them up. Same as Orgeron.

I'll be honest. I think we're going in the right direction with Billy Kennedy. He is building a new style of program here. Where we are going wrong is in the marketing and student marketing departments. The atmosphere at Reed sucks, and that makes people believe the team sucks. In reality, however, the team is competitive... much more so than last year. That's what you want out of a 2nd year Head Coach.

Until they change the unbelievably long shot clock and institute the same eligibility rules as College Baseball then the product will continue to deteriorate.

I can get behind that line of thinking

My dislike of Aggie hoops has more to do with my dislike of the college game in general, so take anything I say with a grain of salt

Yeah... Shot clock needs to be moved to 30 seconds and the officiating is terrible... Too many hand check fouls ... Zero consistency with the calls from one half to the next as well

I think 28 would do the trick. Agreed about the foul calls. They also need to go to quarters instead of two halves. The game should mimic the pros.

The talent level is average, IMO.

We have a 6'4 PF and no NBA players... it's not like we are oozing with ballers.

Kennedy should try not losing to southern at home, not getting the stuffing beaten out of us by a bad Georgia team, and not needing last minute comebacks to beat army. Oh, designing and then practicing an offense would be another great step. Do those things and student attendance would increase by leaps and bounds

Stupid question: why must the shot clock be longer in college than in the NBA?

After what happened to Noel's knee last night I'm looking for A LOT of lottery picks to load up with mom , board a plane and play a year in Europe before getting drafted.. You can get paid six figures , play against professionals, and your siblings can go with you and get some culture while learning a foreign language.. It pretty much makes zero sense to go play NCAA basketball anymore if you're a consensus first rounder... It worked out great for Jennings.

Don't know honestly. I know the NBA shortened their's to stimulate offensive movement. The NCAA should take notes.

In almost any sport, there's nothing like the college game: its intensity, its unpredictable nature, the rivalries...

Completely agreed. Stupid to let the NCAA ruin your draft stock.

I wish my SEC rant account had a 2 hour auto lock that automatically set itself when ole miss loses. It would really help me in times like this when I want to respond to posts like that

They make you dribble the ball in college.

I agree--I think that one change would be a significant improvement.

Don't get me wrong, I love the intensity of college sports, but I am also a student of the games I love. And, frankly, the quality of ball played at the professional level in basketball far outstrips the college game, IMO.

That said, I hope the Ags BTHO everybody, of course
