UGA would be out, it would be Clemson vs. Oklahoma in. UGA deserves a shot. The 4 team playoff ensures that. It will be won or loss on the field, not in a board room. If Bama is good enough and wins it, then they deserve it.

If take the playoff using the shitty BCS over this committee full of dumbasses any day.

100% agree. Playoff setup, BCS selection system.

That's the key. Create by a computer system similar to the BCS system to select and take it out of a handful of individuals Whether there is bias intended or unintended the computer system takes that possibility out.

Wouldn't the BCS formula have spit out the same 4 teams?

Yea it worked out fine, I just prefer a combination of a cross-reference of voters (AP) and trustworthy computer models.

It only sucked because it was limited to 2 teams.

I disagree. The AP excluded itself from the BCS following the 2004 rankings.
The Coaches poll is the only poll that favored OK over UGA

It really didn't change much of anything, except it moved the bar. Instead of the bitching starting at #3 being left out, it starts at #5. If they moved it to an 8 team, the bitching would start at #9.
Bottom line, no matter where you draw the line, there's always an argument that the next team in the line was "left out", because there will always be very little separation between the last 2-4.
In your scenario, OSU this year, is your UGA in the old BCS format.
