Oklahoma always has a strong offense with no defense. You have to play some defense to win a playoff game. OU hasn’t done that in decades. Same with this season.

Looking forward to the November matchup vs Iowa State.

They finished top 10 in rushing defense and probably was their best group since the 2000 NC team and most of em come back

Who knows, maybe they win it this year. I’m doubtful because I haven’t seen it. 2003 they played pretty good defense vs LSU. That is about it in a big game.

Oklahoma is 0-4. They have never made the title game. Notre Dame is the only other team to have multiple trips and remain winless (0-2). That is worse than anyone else. LSU has a title, as does Ohio State - so I'd say they've definitively done better. Oregon and Georgia both have playoff wins - in half as many tries.

In the past yes. Last year they had an excellent defense with a young group overall. This year there’s even more talent there. I expect them to be a top 3 team but they definitely need to prove it in the playoffs.

I imagine they're somewhat short on quality depth but I think they put up a strong showing if they remain healthy.

None of you stupid fux even watch football. The big 12 was dominant in bowl games and was ranked as the best defensive conference last year . You missed the Florida blowout . Listen to Summer George he knows who his competition is and it’s not anyone in the sec which Bama carries..... OU will most likely be ranked in top 10 in both offense and defense this year ....... offense more like 1-2 range

Mojo - the little 10 is trash tier competition. OU should go undefeated but never do so.

This isn’t hard. Your life is on the line and Bama plays OU at a neutral site game to start the season in a pickem. Who are you picking? Even OU fans would bet on the fighting Sabans.

Don't forget their abysmal record in BCS title games (1-3)
Combine that with their playoff record, and that makes them 1-7 in postseason games that actually matter since the turn of the century. Most of those losses are absolute beatdowns/blowouts, as well.
So, the moral of the story is, as long as OU has NOTHING at all to play for outside of a regular bowl game, they'll probably win.

Lol no they didn’t ou couldn’t stop bama the entire game in 2018 scored every time they touched the ball. Only reason score even looked even as close as it was because ou scored with no time left like bama wouldn’t of scored again on the next possession.
