Maybe, but we don't go to other conferences boards to plant a flag celebrating it. What part of that is confusing?

Yeah, ok, you're trying to say that if an SEC women's team had broken an NCAA record in a dominating fashion, that wouldn't have made this board... Ok skippy.
Sure...but that would make it a legit "SEC Rant" post...this should be in more sports because OU and LA Tech are both not SEC schools.

How is your baseball team?

I do think the OP is an imposter here to tarnish OU name.
Having said that and to make it SEC related here you go from a few weeks ago:
In front of UK sellout crowd, college softball’s best displays dominance in Lexington

UPDATED MARCH 23, 2022 12:23 PM
The eighth-ranked Kentucky softball team was beaten 9-1 by No. 1 Oklahoma in front of a sellout crowd at John Cropp Stadium in Lexington on March 22, 2022. “That is by far the best team that we have played this year,” UK Coach Rachel Lawson said.

Was their first ever home softball game sellout Kentucky). This OU softball team is flat destroying teams. One good thing is Loves decided to donate a crapload of money to help build their new $24m softball stadium. In women’s sports OU joining SEC will create some off the charts fun softball games.
The records being set this year by OU softball are quite amazing.
Also OU has big social media compared to others

Not sure why LaTech is mentioned, but as for OU, it is very ironic that you mention this considering there are and have been multiple topics created per week by NON-OU/Texas fans that involved OU/Texas, usually taking shots, so either its ok or it's not. Now, either way, my apologies that the OP is a flaming jackwagon.

Ive been pretty consistent in calling out that non SEC posts shouldnt be on the SEC board. that said, if your program is getting shots taken at them for losing to an SEC school, then its relevant to be on the SEC board.

Here, here!

And I don't think there is any doubt that the Sooners are the current measuring stick in softball. Patty Gasso has done an unbelievable job.

I started watching the WCWS a few years ago and found it to be pretty entertaining. They get after it. I believe they had their highest viewership ever recorded last year so they're sport is growing.

Numbers back up that softball is killing it in ratings:
—-
The 2021 WCWS averaged 1.2 million viewers, which easily topped that men’s counterpart, which gathered 755,000 viewers on average.
Digging deeper, the WCWS Championship Series between Oklahoma and Florida State averaged 1.84 million TV viewers, which again easily topped the men’s version; the baseball championship series between Mississippi State and Vanderbilt averaged 1.15 million viewers.
This marks the third time since 2015 that the Women’s College World Series has outdrawn the CWS in terms of TV viewership in the Championship Series.
In 2015, the Michigan/Florida WCWS championship matchup averaged 1.85 million viewers, more than 400,000 more than the CWS that same year. In 2016, Auburn and Oklahoma’s face-off bested the Coastal Carolina/Arizona MCWS series by the same margin.
Only once since then has baseball beaten softball in that metric when both series’ played the same number of games (2017; baseball averaged higher viewership in both 2018 and ’19 when the MCWS went to a winner-take-all game three and the WCWS champion was determined in two games).
Some direct numbers that show just how dominant the WCWS was over the MCWS in 2021:
Number of games that drew 1 million+ viewers:
WCWS 10
MCWS 6
Number of times each event drew 1.5 million+ viewers:
WCWS 5
MCWS 1
Baseball’s most-watched game of the CWS was Game 3 of the Mississippi State/Vanderbilt championship series, which draw 1.67 million viewers. That number was less than both Game 1 (1.86 million) and Game 2 (2.08 million) of the Oklahoma/Florida State championship series at the WCWS, and narrowly edged out Game 3 of OU/FSU which began at 3 pm Eastern time and drew an audience of 1.565 million.

What did I tell you idiots before you say it I DONT care about this not being sec material …. This is the best team in America and already OU pounded Kentucky 9-1 and beat Tenn as well. I came on here to tell Tenn fans they gave us the closest game yet and they will be a good team this year …..

Fun Fact: Alabama has played 16 ranked games. Oklahoma....... ........... ......... ...... .... 4
Here a fun fact you have lost 5 of those ranked game I believe and OU has lost zero.
You also played 3 nail biter games with Kentucky at home and lost one and OU pounded Kentucky at Kentucky in run rule fashion.
Oklahoma has run ruled like 28 of 36 teams they have played …. You have two good pitchers maybe even one great one but we have 2 greats and one good and getting wise Bama doesn’t stack up at all …. Bama better hope for rain again to win… just think they might try and make the championship game again it’s been a long time OU lives in it .

LOL at ou fans bragging about being good at softball. Even Aggie fans don’t brag about being good at track or swimming whatever the hell they’re actually good at.

No we are good at more than just softball
It’s a thing to brag about OUs athletic program becuase we are usually top 5 in football mens golf 1 or 2 in womens and mens gymnastics the same …. And of course softball which we own. We are not just a one trick wonder in one sport every ten years like LSU I would see why you would say the only sport that matter is football…. Funny you mention that I didn’t see LSU a anywhere in bowl season lol.

OU is a softball powerhouse and the SEC fans can’t stand it. In retaliation, it’s the constant “but it’s softball” argument which is extremely weak.
Respect the greatness that we’re witnessing, pretty soon they will be part of your conference to pad the trophy’s and the women's CWS in OKC will become SEC.
