Dude is historically a mediocre hitter. Especially in big time moments. I’ve watched a ton of bama baseball, and like the announcer said, he gets the praise but there are more consistent and better hitters.

Now a 50mph exit velocity single. This isn’t our day

One thing I’ve learned about Skip, his pitchers always come on post season. Happened in 2022 as well.
And this Rager kid is gonna be our day 1 starter year. He has really improved late season and I read that Skip found something in his delivery mid season which has paid off.

OU applying pressure early
Fay at 31 pitches with no outs in the 2nd

Much better this inning. To get to the next level you have to be able to throw your off speed pitch in a fastball situation, like 3-1. He's doing that this inning.

I’ve said all week Oklahoma is the team to beat in Omaha
And they are proving my point

A little surprised a guy who is 18-19 in stolen bases didn’t run that inning. Then gets wiped out in a double play to end the frame.

He regularly settles in. But even that double play ball was a hanging offspeed pitch. Just had enough movement to cause the guy to swing over it.

How is Alabama’s pitching so bad?

We've got some big, strong kids like many of the great LSU teams had. They're not intimidated and if you hang one, it's likely to leave the yard.

frick off with this trolling bullshite.
Alabama finished top four in the conference and is in Omaha while your team finished 11th and didn’t even have a chance to try,

OU is absolutely not the team to beat. They may win, but they are not the team to beat by any means. Win or lose today.

Even if he doesn't get on base, this is a good at bat by 42.

What a batter/pitching duel that was. Got him!

Ben's right. Great pitch. Maybe not a Koufax curve, but it was devastating.

Hopefully Bama can adjust the second or third time through. Rager has them confused through two
