But the BCS is all the polls plus the voters,so the computers cant use the Margin Of Victory or the M.O.V. part of their RANKINGS in the NCAA led BCS rankings.

Bet you didnt know that if the M.O.V. is used Bama wins 4 of the 7 computer polls ?

There is a key word there.
I am just saying, you credit this guy to pick the greatest of all time football teams but probably disagree that he ranks Bama #3 for a single year.

The logic is completely befuddling in that Bama fans somehow think that is something to pound their chest over.

I agree.

I mean people are quick to point out that the #1 defense held LSU out of the endzone and to only 239 yards. No one mentions that LSU's passing is rated 105th and rushing 17th.

The #2 defense gave up a whopping 56 more yards to an offense with passing rated at 72nd and rushing 15th. Not to mention no endzone visits either.

Like I said though, they can keep the more victories.

Oh brother ,LMAO ,the guy just laid the facts at your door and you are going to argue that which cant be argued ?

I have know for months this argument was asinine ,ignorant, foolish ! You choose the adjective ,want proof ?The Top 200 teams of all time ,as rated by a famous computer poll, that is still used by the BCS. Bama 2009 passed a team ( Nebraska 71)
that had held the BEST ALL TIME MANTLE for 40 years ....take a gander and then SHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
Billingley top 200 teams all time
God damn

The tards are coming out of the woodwork.

that's really interesting..considering that there are only 6 computer polls.

same bama math that leads to claiming 13 championships though.

Agreed.
1) Best in LSU history = yes.
2) Best in SEC history = debatable but maybe.
3) Best, ever = No fricking way.

Why?
Simple. Tommy Frazier and the '95 Nebraska team would face hump this team instantly. If you argue against this - you're under the age of 25 and a fricking idiot.

No I dont disagree with his rankings this year because with the Margin of Victory added in ,which the NCAA mandates to be taken out for the BCS ,we win HIS POLL WITH THE M.O. V. added in. Which it will be added back in at the end of the year.

So which one do you consider correct? His top 200 all-time teams is without MOV. So if this is accurate, then you would have to agree Bama is #3 since this poll is also without MOV.
If you feel MOV is the correct method, then you would have to agree that the greatest of all-time rankings are inaccurate.

The 2009 Bama team was really good....but the 2011 LSU football team, should they go on to win on the 9th, will have played and survived the best SEC football season of all-time. NO QUESTIONS ASKED!!!

Now, where does that rank in terms of overall in college football...that remains to be seen.

Why is it that the historians are using rankings at the time the teams play, not how they end the season ?

Not saying your wrong or they are right but the argument changes significantly using their way.

2011 LSU has beaten everyone on their schedule by at least 13 points except for a road game against the #2 team in the country.

I don't have to look anything up to know how rare that is.

Nice try. But you must count 'Bama twice. And the bottom line is that LSU has dominated teams far more than '09 'Bama did. After they defeat 'Bama again, they will have beaten 9 teams that were ranked at game-time, breaking their own national record from 2007.

I'm not so sure about that. Florida's defense that year was soft. Ours is not.

Ergo, y'all deserve to take a #20 ranking from another bygone year and claim it as a NC?

Based on this year's stats only, most sports commentators have stated that IF LSU wins out, beating Alabama again, they would have to be the best college team in history! Hey, love Bama but give it up! Your bitterness is showing! Bama is my 2nd favorite team but Tigers reign!

But every Bama fan here says the 11 team is better than 09

and LSU beat them

And they're going to beat them again
