Our biggest problem is that if Petrino is successful Arkansas will throw the bank at him to be their head coach again

No. That ship sailed for both parties.
I do hope Jimbo fricks this up. Petrino is a hell of an offensive guy. He never paid attention to defense anyway, so being a HC is just an ego thing for him.
