You find this shocking?

eta: I think everyone not wearing your shade of orange saw this coming when he was hired as AD.

Too bad he doesn't have the balls to do it before the Alabama game is all I can say.

There was a man named Dick Cheney who around '99-2000 was tasked with finding a Vice Presidential running mate for George W Bush.

After much research and interviews he ultimately settled on Dick Cheney

Water is wet.

Phat Phil has an eating problem.

There is no doubt he will wait till after the tough few games before doing it knowing he'd have no chance of winning any of them. Jump in at the end to "save" the season.

God I hope this happens...holy frick it would be amazing

He might want to but the Haslams aren't that stupid. Its much more likely that Fat Phil will just continue hiring puppets and "yes" men. So he can call the shots without taking the responsibility of a coach

I'd like to believe that contract negotiations between Fulmer the AD and Fulmer the coaching candidate will be Jimmy Sexton sitting at the head of a table while Phil waddles back and forth between chairs on either side.

Who didn't know this when he basically inserted himself as AD.

Irrelevant.

UT can't afford another buyout. They are still paying Jones and his assistants. Hell, Jones will be working for free at Alabama until well after NEXT season, because UT still owes him so much. Unless one of the idiot Haslam brothers decides to step in and stroke a giant check, they will NOT fire Pruitt with 4.5 years remaining on his guaranteed contract. Especially not to bring back a guy who peaked 20 years ago.

You guys need to pin your dreams to some other scenario, because even if that stuff were to happen, it would just extend the nightmare in Knoxville.
