Previous prediction:
Auburn 34 Oregon 27

Easily the best game of week 2, let's get started.

Texas loses 8 starters from a defense that finished #67 in total defense last year.

On the flip side, LSU returns the same amount on offense. This is a rough task for any DC.

The Longhorns have a good QB in Ehlinger. He can sling it. But he goes in missing his top receiver from last year. Despite this, he is still surrounded by weapons. And that Texas crowd will be on their feet.

All this said, Texas has alot to replace. They will still be the second toughest game we play all year. And this quarterback duel will be a great warm up to what should be a great season for the winner of this game.

LSU : 34 Texas : 24

Experience and talent win here.

I hope you're right. I just think that Texas has a coaching advantage in this one and it's at their home. Texas has had a history of some stinkers to start the season, however.

If we drop 44 on the Texas Longhorns after they declared themselves "back" , I will cover myself in butter and pass out fricking corndogs in the stands.

An Alabama fan worried about LSU embarrassing the conference after 44-16 in the NCG?

You want other people to clean up your mess?

Coaching advantage? How do you figure? I'll take coach O in terms of getting the team prepared (mentally, physically, emotionally) and being ready to play (motivated/ready to whip some arse) over herman, give me our defensive staff over theirs, and our offensive staff is neck and neck with theirs. Don't think O has forgotten the herman going to LSU deal while he was the interim coach here already. That all happened during the tamu gameweek, during the damn game, and after...he will be pissed and out for blood vs herman. Throw in our clear talent advantage, a really good qb in burrow returning with an offense rearranged to fit his skillset and the loads of talent surrounding him, our defense that will be even more beastly than LSU is even used to, and you have an epic arse whipping in the making for the shorthorns at DKR on national tv. It's going to be a bloodbath.

Matters how committed LSU is at spreading the field.
They have the weapons.

Don't know who LSU plays in Week 1 but there are times LSU goes into a shell and tries to run over a block wall.

LSU doesn't have the OL that Oklahoma had last year or Georgia has.
Both teams had issues running the ball on Texas not because of personnel but because of scheme.

LSU will try to win with Defense and by forcing their will on Texas.
I think ultimately this is what Texas wants.

The only thing I think Texas is worried about is if LSU becomes this high octane offense that throws the ball 45+ times a game.
Too early in the season for this and I think Orgeron sticks to his beliefs.

LSU should be able to dominate the line of scrimmage and pull away in the second half.

Texas will try to “much it up” and make it chippy in order to keep it tight. I expect to see some controversial situations and plenty of drama. The refs will probably lean towards the home team. Maybe a late hit or or controversial PI or personal foul call. So it could be a one possession game at half.

But LSU has more talent. I am curious to see if LSU tries to throw the ball around the yard with their new offense. Could backfire, though. Running the ball should still be the bread and butter. If Burrow gets picked off twice then LSU could lose.

But if LSU keeps focused through controversy and doesn’t commit silly turnovers they should win.

The same uga team LSU skullfricked in tiger stadium last season? Lol, Texas thinks they did something by beating an unmotivated uga team in the sugar last year. They will be facing an entirely different animal in Austin in a couple of months...an extremely motivated LSU team with a lot more talent and experience than that uga team had at season's end that Texas beat in nola. Texas also has lost a lot and had to replace most of their starters, while LSU has the exact opposite happening in regards to starters returning across the board. LSU will have to beat themselves in order to lose this game.

You still don't get it...

Your OL is no where close to Oklahoma.

To think LSUs OLine can do something that the best OLine couldn't do last year is being delusional.
