The problem with LSU going to spread formations is that sometimes it is difficult to run the ball out of these formations between the tackles.
I think Emery is a player who can bounce outside like Travis Etienne.

Clemson's rushing attack and OL is totally different than what LSU has showed in the past.

Ohio St is a perfect example last year.
The difference is that LSU has a running QB.
Burrow is probably the player that scares Texas the most with his throwing and running ability.

LSU will be negative yardage with 6 turnovers.

aggy loses either way. Daddy vs StepDaddy. LSU gets a huge win or Texas does. Either way aggy remains behind both universities.

Actually, the opposite is true. One of these two teams losing in September is not a problem for A&M.

Total Win for Aggie - LSU beats Texas and then A&M beats LSU.

Total Loss for Aggie - Texas beats LSU and then LSU beats A&M.

Aggie okay with any other outcomes.

Safety is actually the most comparable of positions in terms of elite talent. Texas and LSU both have elite players at the position. I think Delpit is better right now, but Sterns is an absolute stud.

Brandon Jones is also no slouch.

After really looking at the squad LSU is bringing back on defense, I’m a little more bearish on our chances. I still think it’s going to be close but the Tigers have serious playmakers at every level on D. That’s a stacked team on that side of the ball. Hopefully getting them earlier in the year will help but I don’t think Sam is going to be able to push piles for first downs.

That’s Fair. However, I am not one to overestimate one game. The entire body of work (season) matters more than just head to head.

But it’s going to be a very entertaining to watch from our perspective.

We can't because they are so goddamned obsessed with all things Aggy that they are giving each other reach-arounds.

Knock Enhilinger out of the game. Their qbs have a history of getting their feelings hurt vs SEC opponents

Offense
LSU is expected to go more 4 and 5-wide this year. Whether we will actually do it, who knows. That said, our WR are big and athletic. I think they can easily make plays. That also opens up Burrow's ability to tuck it, keep it, and run.

Should we go more of a spread offense as anticipated, I like our trio of running backs and their ability to get into open space. No more playing in the phone booth.

Defense
Sam Ehlinger's passing ability doesn't scare me in the slightest. I may completely eat my words, but I couldn't be more at ease with a true freshman cornerback (Derek Stingley) going against Ehliner.

Also, if it isn't a goalline situation, Ehliner's running game doesn't concern me either. He's money in short yardage, goalline situations, but we've got a great group of big, defensive linemen and tons of talent at the linebackers to hinder the run throughout the game. I am also excited about Jacoby Stevens ability to make plays and get in the backfield.

Special teams
I have no clue what to expect from either team and hope the game doesn't get into a field position or field goal battle.

That said, I see LSU winning by 10-14 points. Objectively, I can't sit back and look at both teams and their players and find any spot that Texas is arguably better than LSU at. Across the board, I think LSU is the more talented team.

I think it'll be tight going into the 4th quarter (3 points or 1 touchdown lead, and LSU will pop another TD in late to assure a win).

LSU fan makes a thread about their big matchup with Texas

Texas fans come on to reply, then revert into making it about A&M

LSU fans confused, still talk shite, but now make it about both schools from the state.

OU fans join in

How typical

Take note coach O. The key to beating Texas is stopping the QB run. Put a spy on him if you have to, but you won't win if you let the QB run for first downs. Listen to me or lose.

Agree with most of your points though Sam is deceptively strong between the tackles. I do not think it’s somethjng even the tiger d can handle “with ease” but I could be wrong.
Our WRs are very talented- Collin Johnson is 6’6” and is tough to match up with. He is great at coming back for balls if/when Sam underthrows a deep pass. Draws lots of PI penalties for this reason. Also look for lots of quick screens/ passes to Devin Duvernay. He is fast.

No idea either on special teams. Dicker the kicker is pretty accurate but our punter is kind of an unknown entity.
