The problem with you logic is that the NCAA said Alabama had a TERRIBLE system in place, there were limited (no) controls in place...
So you want a link that Alabama had a bad system... I actually agree that this could cause Auburn problems, but Alabama did not have a good system in place about textbooks... So here is your link, . (BAMMERS, spread rumours, but always want a link)...
LINK LINK PHRASE WILL NOT BE REPEATED LINK
The university’s textbook disbursement system allows student-athletes on scholarship to charge their textbooks and other necessary academic supplies to the university’s on-campus supply store. After each month, the supply store forwards a detailed billing statement to the athletic department for review and payment.
According to the NCAA’s official report, the university failed to adequately monitor these reports, which showed that some students had charged academic items to their accounts on behalf of their girlfriends, friends and other acquaintances. This was the case for many of the 22 intentional wrongdoers, some of whom rang up charges in excess of $3,000...
Of course that is not enough... so lets see what the NZAA said...
2. FAILURE TO MONITOR. [NCAA Constitution 2.8.1 (Note: Bylaw citation is to the 2008-09 NCAA Division I Manual.)]
The scope and nature of the violations detailed in Finding B-1 demonstrate that the institution failed to monitor effectively the student-athlete textbook distribution system, and failed to assure compliance by not providing adequate NCAA rules education pertaining to athletics book aid to student-athletes and book store personnel.
Although the institution had created and implemented a system to control the textbook distribution process for NCAA compliance, the institution fell short in the following three areas: 1) the institution did not provide adequate rules education on the textbook issuance process for institutional employees or student-athletes; 2) the institution did not sufficiently monitor the textbook process before the textbooks left the store to prevent the violations; and 3) the institution did not sufficiently monitor the textbook process after the textbooks left the store to detect the violations in a timely fashion.
For the entire report....LINK PHRASE WILL NOT BE REPEATED

Rest of the nation - does not really care much and the HBO numbers will show this.
If you think the rest of the country doesnt care that much about a National Championship team cheating, then you have your head in the sand.
How many of us down here are watching the Ohio State thing with baited breath? a LOT
How many of us were loving every minute of the USC scandal? a LOT
This is nothing different and to think so is assinine imo.

exactly.
It's clear that this former Au player focused on doing things right during his time on the plains.. like getting educated:

“I didn’t received not a penny from any booster club of any kind while I attended Auburn University. This show is a opportunity for guys to get the attention that they feel didn’t received from Auburn we all had a chance and some took A different route by trying to bring down Auburn while we high, is a coward move and very disrespectful, Auburn has showed nothing but love.”

The country cared alot about CAM, but I personally believe this will not be a big long term story... The 4 may do some sports radio interviews, but will they talk to the NCAA? Will ESPN put them on?

Yes.

Doubt it.

Only because it would be rehashing someone elses story and ESPN's poo water is too fragrantly delicious for that to happen.

So Chizik said HBO never contacted him, but HBO said the Auburn Sports Information Department declined any comment.

And the problem with your logic is that if Ramsey found a loop hole in the Auburn ticket system then it's up to the opinion of the NCAA of wether or not it was a "good" system. I think mine and somewhat WDE's point are that if the school has done everything that it thinks is possible to cover the holes and someone comes along and finds one does the school really have "lack of institutional control" or was it a legitimate oversight?

I'm totally out of the loop other than the most obvious story lines concerning Cam Newton in 2010.
Can I get a 2 to 3 sentence re-cap of anything substantial that I should know about whatever this HBO show is?

Players made allegations. At this point nothing was produced that would substantiate their allegations. Both AU and the SEC have informed the NCAA that they will looking in to the matter.

Nbama says he fapped four times to this thread.
Auburn - doesn't believe
Bama - believes
Rest of SEC Rant - believes the attempts were made

So I missed this show but have seen threads on other boards alluding to some recruit implicating many SEC schools.
Can someone give me a recap of what I missed? Will any of it actually matter, will any program actually get penalized?
TIA

I had to dvr the damn thing, so I didn't actually see it until last night. Unfortunately, McClover didn't look like a bold faced liar to me...
