You seem to be under the impression that every time a player who makes a first down is "down" that the clock always stops immediately within a split second.
It doesn't.
The point is that it should. If you eliminate human element on other plays it should be eliminated for game changing first downs.

Lattimore is scared of Auburn for some reason.

We got exposed. Hopefully Spurrier will have the sense to start Shaw from here on out, as it can't get worse. I think this will be the Ol' Ball Coach's last season on the Gamecock sidelines.
Congrats to Auburn. Tough game, nice win.

What are you going to do with 1 second and no time outs.
Snap the ball and throw it into the end zone. They probably couldn't have gotten the FG team on the field and ready in time, but they probably could have gotten the ball off.

they have to put the time back on the clock.
Obviously they don't.
No way they get that play off because the clock would have restarted as soon as the ball was marked ready for play. Even if they do get it off... a rushed 47-yard field goal? Please.
Just accept the outcome and quit crying.

LSU fans should be real familiar with the rules in situations like this.
They have witnessed enough games that end on terrible quarterback play and clock mismanagement.
Yield to the experts, y'all.

So now we're arguing about what "should" happen in fairy land? GMAFB. The amount of butt hurt on this site when someone doesn't win decisively is amusing and embarrassing at the same time.

The big play was not spiking the ball after the timeout run. Would have had the timeout when you needed it.

Yet, even again, I stand by my Aubie 6-6 prediction..may come 7-5 now though..Ute St and USCe wins have swung the pendulum.

The Head Ref would like to make a statement to all the crying SEC fans in this thread.

And Auburn seems to be the only team that can stop Lattiless. Must have something to do with his hat trick he pulled when he committed.
