By reasoning:

MSU is undefeated and has the fewest tough games remaining, that makes them a huge favorite.

Ole Miss is undefeated but still has more tough games left than MSU, that obviously makes them 2nd.

Auburn has a loss to a team above them (bad) and has a tough remaining schedule. Makes them a long shot.

Alabama has a loss to a team above them (bad) but has a manageable schedule, however they look the worst of the 4 contenders in terms of actual play, that makes them the biggest long shot.

This involves math and logic. Ranters will not understand.

FSU would obviously be in. OU has a loss and won't get in over a 1 loss SEC team.

ETA - That being said, if Baylor won out and ND only lost to FSU, the loser could be on the outside looking in because of the ND effect. Then you'd have FSU, UGA, Baylor and ND/SECW loser.

bama and auburn are still in it man. they have lost ONE game. a one game swing can happen real quick. state will probably have to run the table to win the west. not easy in the sec west. what is easy is getting all full of oneself and thinking you can show up and win. I've seen that happen quite often

Alabama and Auburn's problem isn't Ole Miss and MSU losing, that will most likely happen. Their biggest problem is they will also probably lose again.

There's no conceivable way that a one loss SEC team doesn't make it to the playoff. Especially if it's the current #1 or #2 team..

I think you're underestimating the press and ND. It's the one team that can override the SEC tag. Any other team, no chance. Hope for ND to lose twice.

Keep in mind how the voters would look at it. ND lost to an undefeated team that won the previous MNC. MSU would have lost to an UGA team that dropped a game against Carolina, who will probably have 4 losses. Voters will weigh the losses more than the wins with ND.

My Opinion (I hope I'm wrong):

Ole Miss - 40%
MSU - 35%
Alabama - 15%
Auburn - 10%

I agree. I'm just going to enjoy football season while it's here and I happy as long as we are competitive. With this schedule we could have 3 losses and still be a scary good team.
