tldr? Learn to read and focus.

Ok ... I'll give you something here for the tldr crowd:

Georgia makes the list
Bama has 4 NC's to rank
LSU is still likely the GOAT
Clemson had a couple of decent teams

Objectively ranking the last 10 National Champions

1. 2019 LSU

Ok, if I'm being completely objective and honest, 2019 LSU had the next highest level offense though at the time was seen as the clear and obvious GOAT offense. The team as a whole I have to give the top status because the 2020 Bama team did not give us a full season to view due to Covid bs. Not Bama's fault. It is what it is. The defense was your typical LSU defense. Stellar but not a GOAT one to be sure. More than good enough to beat high powered offenses in the modern era (2021 being an anomaly for lackluster offenses). This team was loaded with many NFL players you can still watch on any given Sunday today.

2. 2020 Alabama

Honestly, could have become the GOAT team but with Covid hysteria we will never know unfortunately. Best I can do here is #1b but since we're enumerating, I'll go with #2. Had the best offense on this list with a defense that was adequately NC level for most years. Bama had an NFL level QB who replaced Tom Brady, a great versatile RB and a WR who won the Heisman. Defense started off slow and got better.

3. 2016 Clemson

Very good defense but outstanding QB who became later revealed as a shite bag person. A side note: the Bama defense they faced in the NC would have been considered the GOAT but didn't win, so does not get consideration over 2021 Georgia defense. Bama lost its RB in the game due to a broken leg.

4. 2018 Clemson

Very good defense and decent offense. Overall a very solid team with a very good freshman QB. This version of Clemson was virtually the same team for their 2019 season and could have repeated had it not been for running into a much superior LSU team who had a GOAT QB.

5. 2012 Alabama

Very complete team. Still a very run-heavy offense but AJ McCarron was beginning to show life as a passer mostly due to having Amari Cooper to throw to. The def. secondary was outstanding. The only blemish? Losing to JF at home. A side note: Georgia in 2012 was almost as good and was the clear #2 that season instead of Notre Dame. The SECCG that year was the de facto NCG and Georgia was only one play short of beating Bama that year.

6. 2014 Ohio State

Surprisingly complete team and a last minute QB playing out of his mind for three games at the end of the stretch only to never be heard from again. They demolished Wisconsin in their conference 'ship game by something like 56-0, Ezekial Elliott ran for over 200 yards against Bama in the semifinals and completely out-manned the last decent Oregon team.

7. 2021 Georgia (Congrats again btw )

One dimensional but the offense (and defense) came through when it had to (and honestly, nothing else really matters, does it?). Had a great defense. The best defense of any on this list except for maybe 2012 Bama. They never got behind by more than a TD in any game all season except the game they lost to Alabama in the SECCG.

8. 2015 Alabama

Solid team but very one-dimensional. Had a great defense and the beginnings of a very good offense because of Lane Kiffin turning into Jake Coker into a very serviceable QB. This Bama edition had very good def. secondary and set of WR's along with a very good TE. Derrick Henry did most of the sledding however (damn near 40 carries a game!) and won the Heisman.

9. 2013 Florida State

Supposed to be very dominant but damn near lost to a gimmicky Auburn team. (Ok, I'll be fair. Auburn went up early in the game and stayed up due to the FSU QB playing mostly ineptly until the end and as a result, Gus took his foot off the gas and ordered very predictable offensive play. For once, he tried to be a normal HC and it cost him) I could write more maybe on FSU for that season but who among us here cares?

10. 2017 Alabama

Really, Georgia had the better team but Kirby simply didn't prepare the Dawgs for QB #2 from Alabama and that was the difference in the game. This NCG featured Tua's intro to college football. I mean who in the hell could have prepared for 2nd and 26?

I don't doubt that LSU could legitmately argue that it was the GOAT season but no LSU fan is going to be able to objectively make this list. And I wouldn't blame them.

It's kind of evident by you writing out a full paragraph in LSU's defense and only given 1-2 sentences to each of the other teams.

Nothing more gimmicky than telling you what play we’re going to run 100 times in the game and then still running it down your throat.

Wow, this list made me realize that only 1 of the last 16 national champions is from a school not located in the Southeastern region of the country. It's no wonder college football as a sport is dying off so quickly in terms of national attention

I would say 2019 LSU played virtually the same 2018 Clemson team. There was very little turnover for Clemson that year.

That's true. I am just impressed that 2018 Clemson was able to dismantle Bama. Nobody does that.

1 and 2 did basically play each other in 2019 with 2 playing a different NFL QB. 1 handled 2 with the exception of 2 go routes, 1 of which a coach distracted his own player.

2020 Bama was on a different level than 2019 Bama. Not sure who would win, but man I would love to see that game.

Same. And Bama had zero excuses that season. I guess Tua got predictable and Clemson DC was locked in on his tendencies and had his defense more than ready for him.

A big difference was being able to run the ball when it needed to. It was never able to do that when Tua was the starter.

Honestly, not a bad list.

Arguments can be made for #1 and #2 being flipped, and the OP discusses that.

Tossing clemson/ohio state as they got caught cheating, not to mention we basically always beat clemson and big 10 schools...
