Been happening at Clemson for quite some time but it wasn't called NIL.

I think you are correct, I have heard of a situation relating to a rural Pentecostal Church in Georgia called the "Holy Zion Center of Deliverance" where the Pastor there apparently had a Son who was a very talented Dual threat QB. I think he may have won the Heisman and NC and went on the NFL, but I could be mistaken.
