I don’t think the point of the suit is to actually receive damages, more like a convenient reason for Cade to receive a hardship waiver. Wouldn’t be surprised if the suit is dropped or settled after the appeal is heard.

From what I recall, the Mays family doesn’t exactly hurt for money.

Yeah, it sounds like they kept this in their back pockets as a "just in case" kinda deal to me.

ETA: Would be really interested to know if they consulted a lawyer preemptively when it occurred to gauge whether or not it could benefit them in the future should they eventually decide to choose for Cade to transfer.

I just cant understand why he would want to go to UT and risk having to sit out. He was going to be a starter at LT most likely. Its not like was was buried on the depth chart

Because it’s not his choice. Daddy makes the decisions in that family.

Georgia fans, classless as always

This is a joke right? Did you see the vile spew emitted by Vols fans when Mays picked UGA to begin with? Death threats, hope for his permanent injury, wishes of failure and pain...

I get that he misses his little brother and his Mom, but he’s put in two years and just 5 days ago was tweeting pro-Georgia stuff. However, his lawyer lying about UGA leaking some ridiculous lawsuit (that a blogger already admitted he found in a public search on Mays father) and then slandering the University about it to get an easy waiver is sad.

Just take your medicine and sit out. Little bro will be sitting all year anyway, so they can play together next year.

No worries for you guys

No way does the SEC Commish allow this in Conference transfer because it would open up a Pandora's Box of creative excuses to transfer in Conference and not sit out

Approve this nonsense from Mays and the Commish's Office will get 25 of the same each year going forward

Mays is wasting a year and giving up 1 yr of NFL earnings for nonsense, all while losing more games for your shytty homestate school that's ranked 50 slots lower than UGA if you care about the Academic part

Bad move all around, how stupid can his Dad be?

Dude,I know you're trolling and talking out yet arse 90% of the time but you really come off as a strange person the other 10%
