The Alabama-LSU game should be an 11:00 kickoff on the SEC Network. That game is a shadow of its former self.

Auburn/Texas A&M is to me the likely CBS game. CBS if I remember correctly can take a 1 team 5 times. Bama has been on CBS 3 times (UF, Ole Miss and Aggie). The Auburn/Bama game for sure is on CBS and the Bama/Arkansas game is still available for CBS to max out their Bama options.

LSU/Bama looks like 11:00 am ESPN (LSU has been there 2 times already) or maybe SEC Network game at night (LSU has played 2 of those already).

So the LSU/Bama game on SEC Network (they have a good crew with Cub and Jordan) will be a good option for the SEC network to do a Bama game in their #1 slot.

Why wouldn’t it be the 6:30 ESPN game?

This late in the season they may be as late as Sunday for following week. That game is two weeks out.

Why would CBS want to show LSU?

If Auburn/A&M is the night game, it will be a madhouse. Kyle Field has been amazing this year after dark, even against SC!

Hoping CBS takes Bama/LSU so A&M/Aub can be the night game.

Would be a great Thursday or Friday night game. Both teams already have the bye week.

Bama still brings in the ratings, especially if they're down or tied in the 4th quarter. There is a chance that it MIGHT be Auburn-A&M if Auburn beats the Rebels, but I still see CBS going with Bama-LSU regardless of the outcome of that game. This might be a game in the second half, really no telling with this Bama squad.

CBS can exercise a 6 day option.

Alabama has never played a conference game on the SEC network. If we're not getting the CBS spot we will be primetime ESPN or 11am ESPN. EDIT: Wrong, we played our first last season. Point still stands, extremely rare.

I would think there are better matchups that would merit being on that slot at ESPN. I don't have the entire college schedule in front of me but should be some games in other leagues that have conference Championship game ramifications for both teams.

Last time Bama vs LSU was not on CBS was 2006.

CBS will likely take A&M vs Auburn unless they want the narrative of Coach O’s last game vs BAMA.
