This tape is not the smoking gun that many think it is.

It certainly turned into one, IMO, when the agent he was on the phone with publicly dished out all the juicy details.

In my humble opinion, Woodward will tell the NCAA to frick off.

And I would imagine this would also fold in the theory that because Woodward's stepson is married to
Mark Emmert's daughter, LSU is untouchable ?

The only reason AU avoided any harsh penalties when their punishment was brought down by the NCAA was because they did a great job of getting out ahead of it with the self imposed post ban, recruiting restrictions, suspensions, and firing all involved. If we didn’t self impose last year before the season started, we would have most certainly been banned from this year’s post season.

Has LSU self imposed any penalties?

The irony of a bama fan (or Auburn) to be honest is incredible dude. It’s like stalin giving Putin shite for human rights.

We could break every rule every day for 100 years abs still have nothing on you mfers. You basically invented cheating, you should offer at least a masters degree in it

Nah, its just for years you had a media controlled by the school down there that were told not to report anything that wasn't positive. LOTS got covered up. Ask Shaq how he was taken care of while at LSU. The media isn't as controlled there now, its still not as open as other places but not as bad as it was for a hundred years.

Outside of their suspending Wade during the initial investigation, not that I’m aware of.

Yeah, but he’s from Louisiana so that makes it credible, IMO, IYAM.

Why? Because he basically regurgitated Forde's article and called Forde his source? All Twitter/Clickbait reporting is just a circle jerk in an echo chamber. This is the third year in a row that Pat Forde has wrongfully reported a NOA from the NCAA, and usually a week or so before selection Sunday. Oh, he's right this time? Yeah, frick all the way off.

Is there any new information in this thread?

According to Forde LSU received a NOA but I haven’t heard any new information about this other than Wade was on a date home call talking about an offer.

Well, that’s kind of a big deal, and the first real movement we’ve seen in quite a while. It also signifies this whole ordeal is at least moving towards a conclusion.

Golly gee, yet another year of an unsourced rumor that LSU is getting the death penalty right before the tournament season

I need to set an annual calendar on my phone for this, it’s getting old. Wake me up when there’s something more tangible than “anonymous sources familiar with the matter say”

That still didn't stop AU from self imposing pretty strong penalties. AU avoided the proverbial hammer by getting out in front of it and just taking the lumps early.

Bruce didn’t need an attorney because of a BBQ.

Just FTR, when we say year-long ban bet, we are talking about a consecutive year-long ban sentence, correct? Like 12 straight months?

I remember the last time you lost a ban bet over the 2018 LSU Auburn football game, you were back on here posting well before your self-imposed ban was over because of the technicality “I never said i had to serve this suspension over a consecutive amount of time”

That you had a HC, not an asst. or booster, openly talking about trying to buy a player..............which he admitted that this wasn't the first time.

Was he trying to “buy” a player? Smart sat out then got reinstated and played an entire season after.

Again what is the new info? Do we know a dollar value or who actually paid who?
