Not understanding all the Ark hype

the entire nation thinks Arkansas is going to upset LSU, just because we're coming off of an emotional victory against Ole Miss.
Their OL sucks - LSU's DL is a strength. Their DBs suck - LSU has a stable of good WRs that all get thrown the ball. our TE room is elite in the pass game as well.
Their defense will probably stop the run against LSU, but that's really it. We're going to throw the ball with ease and score points.
they have proven that they cannot close games (OSU, Tamu)
their offense is nothing to write home about. they will run the ball well, and that's it. Their QB is banged up, and they have one WR that gets all their targets. stop him, and what will they be able to do?
If LSU comes out focused and executes, we will beat them somewhere around 35-20 or worse...

I do not agree with OP, but the NO 8 in total offense is a little misleading, from a data stand point the Games against UAPB and OK State are huge outliers that skew that. For what it’s worth. I still think they are a good offense, but I don’t think top 10 in country.

The game is damn near a pick em. I dont think it is that big of an upset in the eyes of the line setters if Arkansas wins.

I mean, Arkansas has the 4th best rushing offense in the conference. I would not say that says the OL sucks. LSU has the 4th worst rush defense in the SEC, I wouldnt call that a strength on the DL.
Arkansas OL is 9th in the league in sacks given up. Could be better sure, but not totally sucking. A lot of sacks have been TFL's on RPO QB runs that werent necessarily passing plays.

Arkansas has the 11th ranked pass defense in the SEC giving up 215 ypg. I wouldnt necessarily say those yards are sucking. LSU has the leagues 15th ranked pass defense, giving up 244.33 ypg.

If LSU cannot run the ball with Arkansas only needing 5-6 in the box, that is going to make it harder to throw the ball.

Arkansas has the 3rd ranked Total offense in the league. LSU is 5th.

Arkansas has good to decent WRs in Andrew Armstrong, Isaiah Stategna and Isaac Teslaa.

Outside of maybe Hogville, nobody is hyping Arkansas up. But they are better than anyone expected them to be this season and it's a home game against an LSU team that isn't exactly flawless.
