WR is one of the toughest positions to have an immediate impact. I expect Bowman, and the wr from Louisisan to make some noise.

I can't wait to see Brian Vogler on the field. That kid is a beast.

This past season we saw a division that's prob. the strongest in recent cfb memory. It'll be awhile before another season top this one again.

Barn beat bama because Cam and Fairley were the two best players on the field.

I don't think "health" had anything to do with it. Even in yesterday's game, Ingram ended up leaving with a high ankle sprain, and Julio limped off after sliding down late, never to return.

They came out motivated, were aggressive on offense and defense, and the coaching staff didn't call off the dogs until halfway through the third quarter...a formula that could have won us at least two more regular season games.

Agreed. Bama's problem this year is that the coaches and players attacked like wolves instead of sharks. Wolves attack their prey early, try to cut an artery and then slowly chase them for a long time, hoping they bleed to death. Sharks smell blood and it makes them want to kill as soon as they can.

The wolf mentality can work, but against a great team, you had better go shark. Saban's biggest flaw in my opinion. He worries and rants about what could go wrong instead of praising and emphasizing what his team is doing right.

It all comes down to experience in the trenches. Bama doesn't lose that much on either side of the ball. Replacing a LT is going to be big. Marcel played very well in the last 2 games after he got well but was hardly a pass rusher for most of the season. We're expecting some pretty good JUCOs to take up the slack so I'm thinking the D will be pretty damn good. I'd rather have the best talent on defense anyway.

If Cam leaves it's a 3 team race. Bama/AR game early on will be an eliminator IMO and the winner's game w/lsu might be for the SEC.

i agree with this....it could end in 3 way tie for west. does any of these 3 have the other two @ home? i know we're on the road for both of them so we'll be behind the 8 ball so to speak

Would have been fine by us... We would be 12-1 after beating USC in the SECCG. You guys still would have lost to USC and LSU, LSU would have still lost to us and would lose the tiebreaker by doing so. They would have gotten an at large BCS bid though. So, while Bama might REALLY wish Cam wasn't eligible, LSU and Arkansas actually had the most to gain from it.

You can say that about a lot of teams. Problem is they didn't pay well enough to win in THREE games.

But when a young team returns as much as Alabama does in 2011, and four points may have been the difference from keeping them out of the national title once gain, there is going to be a lot hype surrounding said team going into the following season.

I really enjoyed watching Bama destroy Mich St yesterday, but comments like this.....

If they could have played with the same ability in the second half as the first

Really make me laugh at you idiots. So, if AU would have continued to play poorly in the second half Bama would have rolled. That is what you saying, right?

Bama played lights out yesterday. Would they have looked that good against other SEC teams? Who knows, but I'm going with no, due only to the fact that they have played other SEC teams all year and have not done so well.

Sorry gumps, it is what it is. Thanks for making us all look so good.

How someone can say that Bama is a better team than Auburn baffles me . They beat you AT HOME. Ok you "blew" it, but that makes them look even better for having to come back on the road in a game with so much on the line.

but I don't think any team in the country could have beat Alabama yesterday.

Unfortunately for Bama that's why football is not played for one game but for an entire season.
