Didn't Brad Pitt build houses for people who needed them? Now he is being sued.

They’ve actually given quite a bit more than the 2 gifts listed. Bud Walton Arena as one example.

Yep. Those are the largest "single gifts" not aggregate. The same family that dropped $100 million to MSU gave $10 million a few years ago.

What was interesting when I was looking at the largest gifts ever is that Phil Knight had two different $500 million+ gifts to Oregon.

Why do people give rich colleges $100 million dollar gifts? Give it to charities or to build houses for people who need it
How do you know they don’t do that as well?

Eh, two of Sam's sons attended Arkansas.

Alice went to some small private, but she calls the Hogs.

Honestly, the Waltons do not care about sports anymore. But their gifts to the University have been incredible. I've been working in Bentonville some lately, and it's still kind of astonishing what they're managing to do to that town. They're building a city from scratch. It has a western college town vibe. There's a Boulder feel to some parts there with all the mountain biking people. You know, minus the Flatiron mts.

What? Bishop couldn't have written that check for $100,000,001?

They probably spent nearly that much on that monstrosity of a house they built at Highland and Bluebonnet.
