Imagine if the refs actually got the call wrong.
Imagine if they didn't get the call so obviously wrong so many times. Or - imagine if they'd actually admit they did.
What you're seeing - and why some of you are losing your minds - that people are waking up to the idea that Soap Opera for Men isn't a fair, level contest sometimes. That the dudes in the stripes tilt the field. Which they usually do. You don't have to fix a game by completely putting your thumb on the scale. Just a little pressure will do.
People are pissed. Shocking.

Yep - me and my pops were talking about that today.
Back in the day - injuries cost the team a timeout. Now, I don't know about all that. If a kid is hurt, he's hurt. And I don't want him being encouraged to get up and hurt himself more getting off the field.
But this idea of sitting out a play ? frick that. Sit out a series at least. If you're hurt, you're hurt. I like your idea.

A few things got thrown on the field by students at the end of a hotly contested game with several bad calls and 25 fake injuries. Nobody was hurt (except for maybe some Ole Miss players from falling down). Kids being kids and every single school has done this at some point.
