Not a Georgia fan, but the facts show the Bulldogs should have been in, win or lose

Forget about who got in and just look objectively at Georgia's resume heading into Saturday's game:
- Won last 2 national championships
- Won an SEC record 29 straight games, almost 2.5 years
- No. 1 in the country 24 straight weeks heading into Saturday
- Hadn't lost a game in 727 days
- Last lost a game in 2021
- Has dominated college football and the SEC, the toughest conference in CFB, for TWO YEARS!
- Lost first game Saturday in more than 2 years by just 3 points and its two best offensive players were playing injured
I'm not a Georgia fan and never will be, but if you look objectively at the facts, there is no way they are not one of the top 4 teams in the country! There is not one college football team - regardless of classification - that has a resume anywhere near comparable to Georgia, except for LSU!
That's a joke guys, so don't get your panties in a wad!
I don't care who you cheer for, there is no way a team that has basically dominated college football for the last two years, can lose one game by 3 points and drop out of the playoffs. How do you go from being the overwhelming No. 1 team in the country for the previous 24 weeks and lose a championship game by just three points - with two of your best offensive players injured - and completely fall out of the playoff picture.
There is no doubt Georgia is easily one of the best four teams in the country and should have been included in the playoff! This travesty just further proves what a complete joke the NCAA has become!

If you're going to lose, lose early. Should've beaten Alabama and left no doubt. We didn't, thus ....

I agree and frick Georgia

I agree with you, but knock who out? They couldn’t knock out the team that just beat them, even though that would be the correct choice.

Georgia should have beat Bama if they were the best. (though are a top 4 team) but they loss was huge and completely at the wrong time to happen for them.

It’s a shame we don’t play in the ACC right? LOL

The teams aren’t selected by your criteria. It is not a lifetime achievement award.
If you did that, you might as well put Bama in all of the time.
Uh oh.

We just lost too late in the year - we would have been better off resting our injured guys against Tennessee or Ole Miss and risking a loss then vs what ended up playing out.

But you get the opportunity to TKO this FSU powerhouse everyone is trying to make the victim. I truly hope you skulldrag their crybaby asses!

You posted what is in essence the same fact over and over again: "But they've been great the past few years!" That's not how it works.

I would hope UGA fans aren’t dumb enough to actually believe we deserve a spot over another team more deserving….

I agree and most years the upper echelon is not as jam packed as it was this year with undefeated/1-loss Conference Champs. Realistically they would usually have moved UGA down to 3 or 4 to avoid a Bama rematch in the first round. But this year the house was too crowded for a 1-loss non-conference champ.

There’s no good answer to how this is going to work next year. It’s obvious they fricked it up this year. Every other year I think everyone was cool with it except UCF, and we just LOL at them

Georgia’s weak schedule is the reason they are not in.

None of the past seasons matter in regard to THIS season.
UGA controlled its own destiny and lost.

Georgias Florida weak schedule is because we have to play Florida, and Ga Tech every year. No?

If you can't win your conference, you shouldn't play for a national championship. When it goes to 12 teams next year, it will be different. But, with 4 slots and 5 major conferences, I don't want to see a non-conference champ in their. Alabama only deserves it because they won the SEC. If they hadn't, they should stay home. Same for Georgia.
That said, I do believe Georgia is one of the four best teams and would probably blow out Washington and Michigan.

We got beat on LOS all game and deviated away from what was working offensively; that, penalties, turnovers, and missed FG were the difference. No excuses about injuries, questionable calls, etc.
We’ll be back and, like it or not, you know I’m right.
