If adding 4 give me Clemson, UNC, UVA, and Kansas.

No to GT, FSU, Miami, or Louisville

So, ESPN is kneecapping their own product in the ACC to expand the SEC while also paying more per team, etc? Yeah... right.

Oxford is a poor man’s Charlottesville. But they are both pretty good at hosting a race riot.

Better result for ESPN than Fox getting these schools. Plus, ACC is screwed in the long run. Might as well double down on the winning horse.

If we want football, no blue states. North Carolina is fine. Virginia is not.

Va Tech has one of the highest percentage of students majoring in STEM programs.

Yes, because this is the defining characteristic of academic reputation. ITT Tech had a much higher percentage of students seeking STEM degrees than Harvard does, but that didn’t save it.

VT isn’t a bad school, but UVA is on a different level.

The ACC is dead man walking. There’s no way they’re going to look around and watch the SEC collect $100 million per team while they sit there and settle for money in the $30-$40 million range. They have two options available to them: all the teams in the conference can agree to disband the conference or teams choose to leave on their own anyway. Either way they’re not sticking around and expansion is really not an option for them. If they can’t void the GOR contract and/or the conference, they will simply ask where do you want to $50 million checks mailed because we can make it up in a few years. in the SEC.

UVA and UNC like Michigan and Texas are "public ivies." Put some respect on them.

Honestly, I think Florida and UGA are thought of as being on a rung or two below UNC and UVA. Very fine schools but not on the UNC, UVA, Michigan, Texas, Miami of Ohio, William & Mary level.

I said what I said. Florida is a fine school but the public ivies I've mentioned have been elite public universities for decades now.

They will save money. They pay 100 Million to 4 teams rather than 50 million to 14 teams. Do the math.

They are not interested in Wake and Boston College. Besides that, if they DON'T move, Fox will get Clemson. Fox has told B1G to try for Notre Dame and Clemson. Clemson HAS a B1G offer. They'd rather join you guys. Be honored. Accept the offer. It won't cost you a dime.
