I don't think it was as one sided as you want to believe
They trailed for 55 minutes.... 34 minutes by double digits.
With 1:32 left, they trailed by 12.
I don’t think it was as close as you want to believe.

We all know you gave up at halftime
Then felt a little hope in the 4th, all to bring you to tears, when CEH ran through half A1 defense and scored that final TD

We were an onside kick recovery away from probably going on to win the game.
Because the kicking team so often recovers those. Yeah.. happens just about every time an onside kick is done.

Did they ever have the ball with the ability to take the lead?
I’ll hang up and listen.
You guys keep saying this as if it disqualifies a game from being considered "close." Read any article from any reputable sports news source and see if any of them echo the sentiment that it was a blowout. You guys won. What's up with the need for more validation???

Fluke PR, Hail Mary to make it 46-41, delay of game on a 4th down conversion to chase. Multiple Missed facemasks on Burrow that could have extended drives. Alabama had plenty of flukish plays themselves. They were never going to stop our offense.

What does this have to do with whether or not the game was perceived as "close" or not? You keep giving a bunch of "ifs." Let's deal with facts. You are being oddly delusional.

Ok enough. You guys got beat. Beaten thoroughly. Let it go, Bama. You're not getting in.

Non Bama fans, did you think the game was as close as Bama fans proclaim?
Perhaps you should ask non-Bama and non-LSU fans this question if you really want a non-biased assessment.

Yep, Tua drops the ball as he's running, snap goes straight through the punters hands, 12 men on the field when they intercepted a pass.
Punt returner spun into better position by defender. Using a trick play to catch the DBs off guard. Last minute Hail Mary that for some reason the defense was lined up man to man with about 1 minute left up by 12.

I just feel like you guys are patting yourselves on the back for the garbage time scores.
Basically the entire 2nd half was garbage time. I know because I was too drunk to remember it live.

It's not a fluke when a guy makes everyone on your team miss and returns a punt for a touchdown

Nah. That was sat night and bama fans. This is going exactly how OP planned.

I remember Tua fumbling running it in for 6 & didn't see an LSU defender in the screen. I also remember their dumbass coordinator forgetting Harris was on his football team for a half. LSU did what it had to do but it was closer than you'd like to believe.

Because you said “an onside kick away from winning”. As if getting an onside kick is easy and done all the time.
You know what you were doing with that. statement. But if you need to tell yourself that “we were so close” when realistically, you had about a 2% chance of winning that game after your last TD.

LSU was clearly the better team but they did manage to make it close at the end.
