Baseball is already my least favorite professional sport. I love my Cardinals but I just can’t get into college baseball. shite is slow and boring. Softball has a way better product to watch at the collegiate level.

I wouldn't expect anything less from a Mizzou fan.

I’d say a good portion of the nation agrees with that statement. College softball is a faster pace game style to college baseball. Pro baseball is way better than both but when you compare college baseball and college softball…. It’s no contest. College baseball is straight arse cheeks to watch. Only exciting part of last season was when ole miss hit back to back to back jacks. That was pretty cool.

Maybe for your shitty program. But don't speak on behalf of the programs that pull in 30-40k people for a weekend series.

Maybe because we get to experience the real deal with the STL cards.

Cardinals was the first mascot for Arkansas before it was changed.

Wisconsin maybe the best example of a state that supports and balances college and pro well. Football on Saturday and Sunday.

Annnnd continue to deflect from your shitty university. Can't say I blame you though. It is quite an embarrassment.

That was a fun video. Good to see the old big 12 logo out there.

No deflection. College baseball just sucks. It’s not fun to watch. No matter who is playing.

You get it now?

I like it better than football because it is a lot cheaper and you can get in and get out quickly. It is more relaxing as in football it is always a hassle and it just isn't worth the time in some of these games especially when Bama comes to town and spots 42 points in the first half.

Maybe based on tickets SOLD (and that on a 3 game cumulative basis). Arkansas led the nation in total and average PAID attendance.

Arkansas had an average ACTUAL attendance of 4,840 in 2022 with the highest actual attendance for a single home game on May 13 hosting Vandy of 9,961.

The takeaway, you’re not pulling in 30 to 40k people for a weekend series.

I’ll repeat what I said in a different thread, the South has been dominated by college sports since about the 1880’s and the first pro team didn’t originate there until 1960, so Of course they’re going to live and die on the former. That’s not the case in Missouri. The pro level has been a fixture since one of the STL aristocrats purchased a large swath of land on Grand Avenue and Dodier in 1866. Mizzou, being the only FBS program in the state, has to go up against generations of fandom from the four remaining franchises. It’s not easy and it’s a miracle they’re in the SEC.

Wisconsin doesn’t have the most pro sports per capita.

So 30-40k people still paid for tickets so we get that money whether they show up or not? Got it.

They don't but the fans make it work while not pushing one team away and supporting just one team instead.

Precisely. Apparently y’all got some good donors.

My point was simply 30-40k people are not showing up over the weekend to see Hog baseball. That would be remarkable, but it simply is not true.

Why post misleading statements?

Well, it’s easier to do that when the Packers have been the only dominate sports entity in the state.

Short answer, no…or you wouldn’t need to ask. Nobody asks If Auburn/Alabama or the egg bowl are rivalries.

It’s an important conference game, Mizzou benefitted greatly from Arkansas football being at their lowest point in modern history. That’s a fact. It also appears those days are behind us for now. Mizzou would feel more accepted if any SEC would consider them a rival, but unless the SEC picks up Kansas it won’t happen.
