Can you explain to me why that was not an illegal formation
This is one where you need to go first. Explain why you think it was an illegal formation under the rules and people can correct your understanding of the rules or agree you've got them right.

The only call LSU fans can 100% bitch about was the blantant false start on the RB, a play which resulted in a large gain.

REC?
The officiating may have been infortunate in this case, but many unhinged LSU fans are convinced officials were acting on orders of the REC, and every perceived injustice is the result some kind of conspiracy to keep LSU from achieving their rightful status as an elite football team.
If it wasn't soooo funny, it would be sad. LSU fans are a special breed of kooky.

On the illegal formation look where the line judge is standing, all 4 reciever are standin 1-1.5 yards behind the LOS (ILLEGAL FORMATION).
The WRs hands stopped the forward momentum of the ball as one foot was going down, with full control of the ball, he tucks it into the left side of his waist using 2 hands as the second step hits. The DB makes contact with the reciever as the first foot is about to land on the third step. The tucked football is knocked out of the receivers hands, and the receiver attempts to recover the fumble as the ball falls to the ground. An LSU player then picks up the fumble and proceeds to slide down for the game winning T/O.

Is that two hands on the ball? Yes it was . It was a catch and fumble - Game Over.

At least Tulane made a game winning two point conversion when it mattered yesterday.

Yep, wish I would have bookmarked the post that had a much better side view angle that shows the WRs were properly lined up. The one the Ls8u fans were posting was from a bad angle behind the play.
That wasn't a catch fumble.. The replay shows he never fully had possession as he attempted to tuck the ball it was knock loose instantly.
The Ls8u fans that are still insisting on these calls being wrong are just uninformed bitter swamptrash homers .
TAMU won the game fair and square but the swamp trash can't accept it, know that TAMU with Jimbo are going to pass them fast which scares the shite out od them. The streak vs TAmU was about the only thing left they could beat their chest on.

Forget the officiating, the LS8 band should be suspended from the first half of their bowl game for targeting ear drums. Whatever music piece they were blaring towards the end was worse than finger nails on a chalkboard. My hair still stands up thinking about it. We cut the volume down on the TV.
Then when we left our friends house at the start of the 7th OT, we could still hear them on the radio. Ugghhh.

This article proves jack shite. At best it establishes that deference was given to the best possible outcome for A&M on every game deciding call.
1. The Mond fumble portion is conclusory without even analyzing the propriety of the call. There is a legitimate question as to whether mond achieved possession as defined by NCAA rules with his knee on the ground. The article simply states that his knee was on the ground.
2. Agree on the yard marker. Easy call.
3. The clock it play doesn’t addres formation and simply punts on whether the spike was in time or not. It doesn’t address the fact that the ball was spiked with 1 second, yet ended with 1 second on the clock. College football does not have tenths of seconds for a reason. A&M was given an untimed down essentially.
4. Catch fumble is addressed.
