Summary: Apart from the subjective Sternberger fumble/no fumble (where they add the ball was moving and it was probably incomplete), every other “controversial” call was objectively correct and LSU fans need to learn the rules.

LSU didn't end up on the wrong end of any more 50 50 calls than any other team any other game. The game was just long and intense so it seemed magnified.

Jeff Duncan graduated from Bama.

Must have been a BAMA writer . Lsu fans won’t let facts get in the way of a tin foil conspiracy.

Reasonable article. No doubt it will outrage some.

It really depends on whose side you were hoping would win, regarding the fumble.
If it had happened to A&M, the arguments would be the same, they would switch sides.
LSU had some bad breaks, at least imo. But that happens in most games. No calls abound in college football. That is why it is important to make sure you take care of business the rest of the game.
Congrats on the win, btw. I think this is the statement game for the future of Jimbo. I expect A&M will only get better.

LSU fans (those who can read) will be mad

The biggest call IMO was when they didn’t initially call Mond down on the play where Delpit intercepted the ball. With no time outs and receivers +20 yards downfield, A&M would have probably lost more than 10 seconds the officials ran off. There wouldn't have been enough time later in the game to spike the ball.

I agree
It was the correct call though, so that was just an unfortunate sequence of events for LSU.

That settles that. Aggies win is legit.

Article won't help. LSU fans have the lowest football IQ of any in the SEC.

That's a terrible summary...
My 2 biggest gripes were the stopping of the game for nothing (a play where LSU blew A&M up in the backfield) and the PI. On the PI the article says
quote:
Conclusion: Tough call on Williams as both he and Rogers were hand-fighting for position on the play. Some people thought Mond’s pass was uncatchable but officials must have ruled that Williams impeded Rogers ability to get to the area where Mond was targeting him. Regardless, the yardage mark-off was negated a play later when A&M was penalized for a false start.
As if the yardage mattered to us. We go to 8OT without that call. It was a terrible call.

A&M had 3 penalties in 103 snaps...

As a whole it’s Alabama in a landslide

And I agree with you. The refs did the right thing by taking a look at it and the correct call was made. Doing so just happened to benefit A&M in a couple different ways, which IMO changed to outcome of the game. Extra time on the clock, time to huddle up and get multiple play calls in, rest, etc.
