I was there too. When Spurrier put Shaw in the game I had a feeling we were fricked. I wasn't standing that far from you if you were on the Rock M. I just heard DOINK and a big roar from the visitors section. Every one around us stood there frozen in disbelief and I looked at my brother and said, "well, we better start heading to the car before these people wake up." My wife still brings that game up to this day.


At least Mizzou rebounded by winning their remaining regular season games and going to their first SEC Championship game.

I was a sophmore that year. You might remember we were pretty pumped that week because our Tigers had just defeated nationally ranked Arizona State.

There is a great documentary from ESPN on that whole feasico. I actually know the son of one of the referees for that game. (He was a referee on the sidelines but not the down marker). Anyway, you should hear all sides from the referees, to Coach Stull, to Coach McCartney, to the Buffs players, especially the center. He thought something wasn't right the entire series of downs.

Anyway, we lost, they won, we went on sucking, but at least we did not suck or do not suck as bad as kansas.

I like all the regular Missouri fans who have personalities. I don't like the one or two who rely on bashing the stereotypical stupid Southerner when comparing Missouri residents and the state to Southerners and other Southern states.

Other than that, they are just normal people like everyone. I doubt if any of the snowflakes their state is somewhat known for now would post here or even enjoy football.

I feel that you don't really mean that and just like trying to seem edgy. Everyone cares how Alabama fans feel. If Alabama fans are not well and don't have confidence, the whole conference loses their confidence.

We have a burden to bear, as fans of Alabama, that others don't relate to. Bama fans, since the '20's, have had to lead the conference and all it's fans with it, out of darkness and into the mainstream of college football.

Kansas is a perfect example how you don't let football go to sh!t in a hand basket..they have a top 5 BB program and no one wants them...pretty sad...
